On Monday I had No Ponies...

...Now I have three!!!

G1 Moonstone (originally from @CJ Thimble Bright's herd), Sundance (from sweetponysky_collectibles on ebay) and Upside Down Applejack (from Amazon ) They're the first non-anime figures I've put in this corner. Going to need more room eventually. Somehow I didn't think they'd take up as much room as they do. At the same time, I haven't held a pony since I was a little girl and it kind of shocks me when I pick them up how small they are in my hands. Is it normal to feel like you owe them something? >_< I feel like I should be doing something more than just admiring how cute and pretty they are ^-^*;

Lol I had a doll when I was around 6 and I eventually lost her somehow, but years later (like 11 or 12 years) my mom found one on eBay and gave her to me for Christmas. I thought it was like a mini version of that doll I had cause I remembered her being so much bigger!
Oh and @quartz_ they look really nice! Yay for getting your first ponys what animes do you collect figures from?

Good start! I mostly remember the smell of my ponies and still the same to this day. I think just having them out of the package and being admired is enough. Evey now and then maybe a little playing

@OctoberMoon I'm sniffing for pony smell and I think I can still detect it under the smells of the places they came from.

@AzaleaArt I usually get what's on sale/recognizable, so lots of little ones & sets ^_^; let's see, right now I have:

-Pokemon 4x
-Dramatical Murder 1x
-Kemono Friends 2x
-Shin Megami Tensei 2x
-Hatsune Mikku 1x (and 1 waiting in the amiami warehouse)
-K-ON!! 1x
-Sailor Moon 7x (all small chibs)
-Hamtaro 1x
-Kirby 5x (1 waiting in a warehouse, 3 in storage)
-Togainu no Chi 1x
-Non Non Biyroi 1x
-Uma Musume Pretty Derby 1x
-Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha 1x
-aaaand a bunch of little kodama from Princess Mononoke

Wow! They are shining in really good condition! I'm also wondering about the room thing. I have 5 ponies so far. I bought a cute little closet to store them in for now, with some doors so I can change up the displayed ponies from time to time, and keep the others out of the sun and heat and away from light to prevent them from fading / breaking down.

I looove upside down Applejack! She's so cute. And a great pony for halloween - I always thought she was kind of like a ghost Applejack.

Thank you! The people I bought them from kept them in excellent condition I love your cabinet! Yours are very cute, but I hear I'm not very good at recognizing ponies by site yet I've tried with displays like that, but I don't like anything being hidden and I want everything on display all at once definitely ghost Applejack (and I like her better than OG Applejack)

I get that!! But I live in a student room with really big windows and I have sunlight all day, so to keep my ponies healthy and looking nice I kind of have to. Sunlight fades pony hair and bodies pretty quickly over time. I try to collect ponies with vibrant colors, that's a little priority of mine. One of the things I like most about the G1 ponies are their cute blushing cheeks, and wouldn't it be a shame to see that go away?

Is Moonstone a Basic Fun pony? Sundance is very cute, I think that’s my favourite G1 pose. I myself haven’t got any G1’s
It’s okay to just admire ponies! What I like to do is take mine out for photography. It feels like another way to appreciate them. I did it all the time with my anime and other figures until my figma who was the main star of my photos broke her arm during a photoshoot but they’re your ponies, you do what you like with them!
I would like me an Upside Down Applejack to take photos with my McFarlane Demogorgan

I was thinking of getting some little props to take photos with. I never had any urge to take photos of my figma or nendoroids really, but ponies photography sounds pretty coolI am so sorry about your star figma!!!what a horrifying moment. Reason #400 I do not like figmas; they are so terribly fragile and stubborn!nens aren't much better. I'm boring, I prefer prize figures XD did not know that MacFarlane made a demogorgan; I can picture it though, and its pretty metal

Oh wow, that Moonstone looks fantastic for her age!
I would some day like to get some G1’s but at the moment I have all my childhood G3’s, breezies and two brushable G4s that I found in a charity shop. I have some blind bag G4’s too. Since starting to take figures years ago, I wish I never lost or threw any accessories my toys had because they would be so useful!
My figma was a secondhand one anyway and on the first day I got her, I broke one of her hands by mistake. She was an authentic one too but it seems like she was pretty worn since she was sunbleached a little and peeling paint around the softer areas. I didn’t mind though, I was so happy I had a figma. I have tried to continue taking photos with her but they’re not able to be as good as they used to be so she stays in her box on my anime figures shelf.

Nendorids for photography can be pretty good but only if they can stand on their own

Today I found out MacFarlane made a figure of Dart as a Demodog. Oh that’s gotta look good next to Upside Down AJ

I have Hamtaro, the big ham himself XD It sure is hard to find Hamtaro merch/dvds/anything these days

The one I have is Sakura Miku she's lovely and cheerful. I'm not a huge Miku fan in general, but her and Calne Ca (the one I bought who's been stuck in Japan since the pandemic) are so lovely I couldn't resist.
