I'm sorry I really don't like them. They really, really look like dolphins.
 
I've had nothing but frustration.
My husband claims he spent 15mins in McDonalds on Friday before he picked me up from work trying to buy some ponies, they just didnt get it. He said they were putting on their jackets to go outside & look in the shed. We live in the city, what the heck??? NO LUCK

Then we tried the one by my work, they didnt have them out yet. NO LUCK.

Sunday afternoon lunch we all get happy meals (3 of them) two Cherlee & one AJ.
Now I have my step son to contend with, he took AJ. *Shakes head* I didnt know I would have to share my ponies. :P

Willow, you dont like them? Meaning the McDonalds ponies or the G4 toy line in general?
 
I called five different local McDonald's last night, and they all told me they had just Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. I would have figured that at least one of them would go in a different order, but they all seem to be doing the same order. I guess tomorrow I'll try again.
 
Welp, across one state line, all that's out there is FLuttershy and Pinkie Pie and the odd G3.5. Our hometown McD (who on THursday dug out 2 FS's and one PP for me and told me "they're not officially released until Friday"), on FRIDAY told me that they don't have them yet (I went in to get a second PP). Hu. So not only does it depend on your particular McD but also on who's running the show that day/shift, I suppose. They (hometown McD) also did not have their display set up yet, so I suppose everything was still buried in the back and no one had time (or wanted) to get things set up.

Also, it is simpler, I find, to go inside to ask about them. The drive in folks don't always have the toys around to know what's available, and the request of "three of each color that you have" becomes (when you open the bag) just plain "three, it doesn't matter what color". Oddly, they all have chosen to give two FLuttershys and one P-Pie. :ducky:
 
I'll just pick them up at thrift stores and g-sales as I see them. I'm sure I'll have family members grab some for me too. I'm not going to collect them, so I'm sure I'll have some for sell in the future.

I just don't like the Mcd's toys. But hey, I never really did. :lol:
Just a personal thing.

I actually got mine at a McDonalds in a Walmart. I didn't think they would have them, but they did.

I swear, if I had gotten another Pinkie I was going to give up and claim the other 7 were just a figment of everyone's imaginations.

Im not sure if they are cheaper I just figured knowing this mcdonalds they are probably charging as much as they can lmao. Thats cool that you live close ish to Hamilton I have not met a lot of pony people very close to my area !
 
Well, I just called the local McDonald's again, and three said they still just had Pinkie & Fluttershy, while two said they had Pinkie & Applejack. I thought since they started off with Pinkie & Fluttershy, they were going to do them 2 at a time, like each case would have two different ponies or something. Now I'm getting nervous because I don't want to miss any, but with it being several days now since the promotion started and they only are just now switching to the third one, I'm not going to want to call so often. They seem to be annoyed by my calls, but I don't want to go there, find out they don't have any ponies I want and walk out without buying anything. I guess if nothing else, I can go into one of them at the end of the promotion and ask for the customer appreciation box like they suggested.
 
One of my supervisors caught me yesterday and said she had something for me. I assumed it was WORK, so I wasn't excited. But then she dumped a Happy Meal box on top of the files I was carrying and smiled like she'd just given me a million dollars and said, "I got you TWO!!!1eleventy!" She got me two Fluttershys, lol! :laughsnow:

And she totally made my day.

I have my completed set!! I went to my first mcdonalds and got numbers 6 & 7. Then I went to a second one and got numbers 1 & 2. So, my boyfriend decided to hit a 3 mcdonalds. This time he went inside and ask if he could get the rest for the collection. The manager at first said no, but then said since he was so nice they sold him the rest!! Im so happy, no more searching for me. well, I do need a new fluttershy only because the tail is messed up.
 
If anyone has one of those mini-McDs around, like the ones in Walmarts, check those! They often get boxes with a mixture of numbers not just 1 & 2 or 3 & 4 and so on. You can complete a set super quick that way.

Also, don't forget about Family Night! They sell Happy Meals for 99 cents on one night a week usually between 5-9pm. ;)
 
I've now got atleast 2 of 1-4 no sign of the rest... but my mom check's mcdonald's daily since there's one right in front of her work.... so maybe I'll luck out and get the rest before she visit's next month.
 
Now I just need Twilight Sparkle, Celestia, Rarity and RD. My mom surprised me with AJ and Cheerilee last night after work. So far all four have issues with them. But I guess I can't expect too much from a McDonald's toy. Pinkie has a bunch of small bubbles all over her face, Fluttershy has small splatters of pink paint on her face and leg, Cheerilee's eye was painted too far forward and the lashes don't line up, and AJ is missing some white paint on her eye. I'm hoping the problems won't show so badly once they're up on my pony shelves.
 
I'm wishing they'd hurry up and change ponies. There are 3 McDonalds in town and one 15 minutes away and they are all still on Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. And none of them have the box set nor will they sell me all at once. Guess I'll just drive them crazy and call every other day to check, lol.
