Hello! I am new to the MLP world as I just came into a small collection. Looking for advice on how to get marker off of a MLP that seems to have soaked into the plastic. These ponies belonged to my niece who had named herself Taylor Princess Pony around the age of 5! Hence, my own name has been fashioned after her! Thanks!

Greetings and hello's! I am Michelle Lysyk from Calgary, Canada! I love your avatar! Beautiful! Enjoy pony!

Hi, It's nice to meet you :)

*Waves from NZ*

I have no clues on how to get marker out of your pony sorry. But you are definitely in in the right place to find someone who can help you :)

Nice to meet you and welcome :).

Markers in the ponies are pain in the butt and sometimes impossible to remove :(. One white ponies I use acne cream. But only in white ones since the cream can damage the ponies body by taking all the color off if the ponys body is colored.

Some marks goes off with magic eraser (or what is it called...) some use sun fading etc. Some help you can find here :

and remember removing marks are looong progress. It won't always happen overnight

Hime-sama, Thank you so much for the suggestions! My white ponies with marks are being treated with Clearesil acne cream now! I guess its time to break out the magic eraser too!

Welcome!

I don't know if it will work on marker but I was recommended nail varnish remover to get marks off ponies - however do avoid the rump symbols as nail varnish remover will remove those as well

Hope this helps

Oh and forgot to mention it got better effect if the acne cream contains benzol peroxid. Put a good amount of the cream in the marked area and let it be. Replace it once a day or less often. I usually do it every other day. And be carefull not to use it over symbols, eyes etc. I got rid of ink pen marks about in a week with this method but it can take longer.

Hi, its really nice to meet you. I have been working on red marker paint now for almost a year with benzoyl peroxide cream. Red is super stubborn. Its getting there though. Best of luck with collecting and cleaning up the marker. Its a tough one sometimes.

Thanks, Tulagirl! I think I'll try the covering up the hair and marks and sun bleaching, that way I can set it and forget it! Do you happen to know how to identify a "First 50" Pony? Which hoof would be marked and is it just a number stamp or it is like an inset? Thanks!

Welcome to the board! I love your name and its history, that's so sweet!

Sometimes you can get marker out with a very frugal application of acetone, but be super careful! If you get it on the paint at all it will smudge it or wipe it off entirely!

Believe it or not, I got some of the marker to fade by using a bit of cheap shampoo, I just dabbed it on with a bit of water and let it sit for a while. not completely gone but making progress!
