Hullo there! I've just started collecting G1 ponies and it seemed like a nice community here so here I am! I'm 14 (yea... don't judge, I have weird interests) And my first pony, Pillow Talk just arrived in the post the other day. So I had a look around, and most people seemed to have really cool custom pony art commissions as their avatar/image on the end of a post. How do get that? Who makes them? I'm so jelly! :3
Anyway, you'll be seeing more of me around and just a friendly greeting to y'all
I'm from Melbourne, Australia btw... any Melbournians out there? Aussies?

There's nothing wrong with being 14 and liking ponies. I was still interested in them when I was your age. Now I'm twice your age, and I just started collecting again this year! And I know there are a lot more people on the forum even older than I am, who started their collection back in the 80's and are still going!

Don't let anyone tell you that you're too old for this stuff.

As for the signatures and avatars, a lot of them are either drawn by the people who are using them, or commissioned by others like MustBeJewel (you can go here to have a look at her work and commission her if you want to). Personally, I'm just using a Rarity vector I found randomly online as my signature, and a cropped Nightmare Rarity image as my avatar. I'll hopefully get something a bit more personalized later!

I was 7 when I started collecting. At age ten I sold my collection, and started collecting at 19, realizing that I was never too old for ponies! Now I'm 23 and still collecting. Congrats on getting Pillow Talk - a favorite of mine! Annnnd of course, welcome to the TP!

Welcome aboard the board! Don't let anyone dictate to you what's good and right for you! I know people from 5 up to 73 (my own mom!) who love Ponies, so it's not silly or weird at all for you to love them.

And if it is weird... at least you have all us other weirdos to keep you company! :LOL:
