New miniatures for 2012 -- We're getting a Granny Smith!!

The My Little Pony Miniature collection proves that magic comes in all sizes! Featuring three favorite characters from “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic†in each pack, fans can collect the Apple Family, Pony Wedding and Cloudsdale sets starting this fall.

Ya know.......

I had decided that I was not going to collect the minis. I like the brushables SO much more. But now.....they had to go and make a Granny Smith one. I doubt she'll ever be made into a brushable. So you know I am going to have to buy it. That'll probably start the hunt for all the other ones. Great....thanks a lot, Hasbro.

I'm stunned. I never expected to see Hasbro produce sculpts of characters they couldn't repaint endlessly as per the previous Surprise Bag sized figs. These are wonderful. I'm so there. With luck fluttershy will receive her own dedicated sculpt soon too so she doesn't have to be Dashie in Shy disguise anymore.

It's also curious that the Wonderbolt isn't Spitfire, but instead is another unnamed pony. Still cool of course and I expect a Spitfire repaint will follow. Thumbs up. I'm hoping these will be out in time for me to buy some when I visit the US in July, but expect it wil be later in the year.
