We recently moved into a new house. Well, "new" to us, but built in the 20's or something. We love it. The whole living room and kitchen are real pine panelling so it feels like a cabin in the woods. *LOL* And built-in around the fireplace are some nifty shelves. You should have seen my face when my husband says, "Those will be great for your collection."
He actually let me display my collection out in the living room! Not something I thought would ever happen, so I'm just thrilled out of my mind.
My little corner... There's a temporary fence around it because we have 3 dogs, one's a puppy, and while they haven't shown a bit of interest in ponies before, I can just see our little terrors ripping through the house dragging a pony behind them.
The "G1" side. Not entirely G1's, but still.
My fuzzy tummy FTB's and the May birthstone pony.
My favorite pose:
Some lovely gals:
My *favorite* set, the Loving Families:
My childhood collection:
Some more G1's and my measely little G2 collection:
G3's that wouldn't stay on "their" side of the shelves:
My Rebeldream collection. Plush, custom, tiny tin, and some Whippet art:
My Sevenbelles custom and Always & Forever gets a special place. (A&F was what dh and I wrote on notes to each other in highschool and it was what we had written on our wedding cake, so she's a special pony to me.)
These two shelves still need some sorting. They're just kinda shoved about in there.
ALL the pegs and ALL the babies! *LOVE*
Some nicely-arranged G3's:
The whole reason for the fence keeping my ponies safe:
And just for fairnesses' sake, my husband's side of the room and his DVD collection:
Next month I'm getting some plexi-glass doors for the shelves. Not sure if I'm going to get just enough to cover the bottom 2 shelves so the dogs can't get to them or if I'm going to cover the entire thing. It'd make for less dusting, that's for sure.
And unfortunately, that isn't my complete collection. I've still got a plastic tub full that I haven't gotten around to.
Thanks for looking!
