New Art Ponies: Art Pony Pop & Art Pony Underwater: PICS added

Should be $25 for both. entertainment earth sells things in "waves" a lot of the time so it's all or nothing. But most of the things they sell in waves sell other places individually. I'm probably gonna wait 'til I can find it somewhere else individually sold so I can get the orange one (if I decide to get one...not sure yet). Hope that answers your question. :)

Yup that answers my question. Thanks. :)

I REALLY like the sea one. Very pretty. Curious, though, what they look like on the other side.

I think I'll pass, once again.
Frankly I think the customizers we have at the TP, could do a better job.
I think we're a lot more creative.

The Pop art pony doesn't remind me of pop art at all.
I think they should have gone with a classic Lichtenstein design. Red, blue, and yellow colors.
And then stick with that theme and do another 'art' pony. Not an underwater scene.
How about a Pollock paint splattered pony?
Or Monet's 'water lilies' on the pony's rump.

WANTY!!! *faints* They're beautiful! I still have to get my hands on the blue and black art pony, but these two are even more exciting.

Ooh, well the water one is cute. It reminds me of a freakier version of a G1 seaside baby.

But really? Why can't they just give these ponies freaking eyes and market them with the rest of the line? It's not like they're ugly from a little girl's standpoint.

This whole "collector" thing just means they're going to charge more. I wish they would try harder to get the best of both worlds, rather than dumbing it way down to please the kids and raising the prices to please the collectors.

deffinatly want want want! does the site deliver to UK? I couldnt see if it does....

I love them!! And yay, they're not pink for once!! XD The underwater one is lovely. I'm a big fan of gradient style ponies, so I'm really excited! :3

Entertainment Earth does ship internationally, although it can be a little pricey. Shipping the pair of them to the UK would probably run $20 or so.

Shipping of one set of ponies to Europe and Australia is $36.95USD through Entertainment Earth according to the information I've been presented through the site. I don't know if that price varies for other countries.

***It will be difficult to know whether or not shipping will be cheaper if US members volunteer to ship the ponies to non-US collectors, because we don't know what the packaging looks like yet. If the packing is double the size of the original Art pony's box, we may not be saving much by having another member ship--because they will have not only the US shipping, but additional international shipping.

So please, wait until we have more of an idea of the package's weight before offering to ship for a non-US collector. ***

Hm, honestly I don't know...I think at the moment I'm longing for something else, more like a G1 style and not that pose again, with no eyes. I've seen much better customs, but still, it's at least a bit creative by hasbro. I will pass.

OMG!!! I want so much! I haven't bought a new pony in awhile, but I do want these :) Even if they are creepy and eyeless ;)

Wow, that's even more than I remembered it being. :/ I hope better options open up for those outside the US once May rolls around.

Since I previously neglected to add my thoughts on [strike]yao-[/strike] ART to the pile:

Re: "Pop" -- I like this one a lot! Her color scheme is beautiful and striking, and I don't personally mind the vague eyes at all. Her design is more "pop art" in the Threadless-bargain-bin sense than in the traditional Warhol/Lichtenstein sense, but I'll still be happy to have her, regardless. (I think it would be interesting to see an art pony done in benday dots, though. Wasn't there a Pony Project pony like that? Hmm...) I don't really see what's supposed to be so "unique" about the hair, but maybe the kind folks at EE just ran out of adjectives.

Re: "Underwater" -- I ordinarily love ocean-themed ponies, but this one is just disappointing all over. She doesn't even get a hint of eyes, unlike "Pop", and her design doesn't seem very... focused? finished? I don't even know what I'm trying to convey here. Like the artist(s) drew realistic, detailed seaweed and bubbles, then slapped a big cartoonishly smiling fish across her side. Just... why? Also, I'm gun-shy of any mass-produced Hasbro pony with this level of shading. I can't easily forget the fresh-off-the-inkjet pixellated symbols on ponies like Swirlypop and Jade Garden. I'm actually hoping that this pony doesn't have symbols painted on both sides, so I can put her patterned side to the wall and just enjoy her lovely aqua gradient and the cute fishies on her face.

I do still plan to try to help out other members, but first, let's wait and see what this new packaging will look like. Who knows, it could be the 2 together in 1 box, it could be 2 seperate boxes the same size as the black & blue art pony, or it could be something totally different. Once we get our hands on some of these, then we can do some better figuring. That $36 is a bit steep.
