Using my airbrush; I think I may have almost perfected Flutterwings. I have created this single pair for Honeysuckle. I just wish they weren't so flat. I have to give them a third dimension.
These are not my first attempt, but I think I finally got the right transparency. It took me a few days of painting to get these just right.
I have seen a few others out there; made from pop bottles. I am wondering if the spray paints I use would hold on to those. It would be a way to get the curved shape my flat ones lack.
Let me know what you think; thanks!!

Her wings look gorgeous! All pretty! She looks nice..awww..

Thanks, I'm glad I found a pony community. As for the wings; They are plastic, 0.02 gauge plexiglass sheets. I use heat to set the paint. I'd have to heat it too much to bend it. I used a dremel tool to cut the shape after painting. I was thinking of using thicker plexiglass then shaping/sanding it down with the dremel before painting. It would take me a week to make one pair! Good thing I only have 3 flutters :)

Very cool! They look gorgeous!

These are incredible! If you ever consider selling them, let me know! 8D

I'll have to make a few more to see if I can get the price down. At least the shipping would be the cost of a stamp :)

actually with your airbrushing (WOW, how do you airbrush so small??!) getting the curve in the wings is a moot point. without knowing I would have thought they had the curve to them that regular flutter wings have. You replicated them that well! Gorgeous!
