Yay, she has arrived to my partner, so now I can show her off!
I haven't been on much lately, and this is partly why, I was working on this custom!
I've also just been busy IRL - we had a death in the family, my fiance, son, and I got colds/sinus infections, then it was my son's birthday - he woke up sick on his birthday, poor guy, and I'm actually just getting over some 48-hr flu bug of some type - I spent my night last night getting sick So, my apologies for not being around
I had LilDancinMare in the Halloween Custom Swap at the Arena. I had a lot of free reign design-wise, and I love Halloween and wanted to make a custom that just said Halloween! So, I came up with Necrodancer - I showed our lovely HeavyHooves my design concept, and she helped me come up with the name; she said the symbol was a bit like necromancy, so maybe Necromancer, and from there I got Necrodancer Thanks again for the help with that babes! I knew I wanted to incorporate a ghost and bats, and it just evolved from there.
I gotta say, I'm really proud of her, and it was hard to send her off! She's only my fourth custom overall - I haven't made any customs in over a year until this one, sadly!. She's my first G3, my first pony with eyeshadow, my first pony with added bangs, etc. Lots of firsts with this one!
So, now onto pics and details!
Bait: Breezy [I think - white, Kimono pose, yellow hair, tree in the wind symbol]
Rehair: Dollyhair Snowflake, Sour Apple Martini, and a blend of Nectarine and Marmalade
FBR in pale purple, sealed with DeltaCeramcoat Matte varnish.
Fully re-painted eyes & symbols - she has matching symbols on both DS and NDS like a G1. Eyes have been sealed with DeltaCeramcoat Gloss varnish. Everything else sealed with Matte.
Ribbons decorate her hair - she has added bangs for the bouffant look. I would've liked her bouffant to be bigger, but I ran out of my white hair; I need to order doubles next time. Bats in her ribbons and her accessories are made with Sculpey, and some have been painted.
She has a few Swarovski crystal accents as well.
This was my design sketch/concept. I didn't really change much from the sketch:
