My Thrift Store Finds~! :)

Found some more ponies at the thrift store on Tuesday! I got them in a bag for $3~ I also seem to have gotten one of my friends into collecting ponies lol. But they tend to take the ones I don't want.

Aww, it's Precious Gem! ... But her HAIR! :cry2: Why do people DO that?!

Man, Kasara you have the best luck! Awesome finds as always. I'm so jelly.

Heh... I looked up Goodwill Outlets here in Texas, but only Ft Worth was anywhere near us (over 2 hours away) but my big bro lives there so we thought, "Hey! Day trip! Check out Goodwill, see the bruddah!"

Man, the Ft Worth GW Outlet is the nastiest place around! And that's something coming from me, I have pig pens to clean, I'm scarcely prudely. It was filthy, the workers were mean and all the stuff was torn up, ruined trash. My son said after we left, "It's like they rolled out their dumpsters and people paid to dig in them." Except you can find neat stuff in dumpsters sometimes. Not so at this joint. Anyhoo, there's outlets in San Antonio and Austin and the spouse usuallly has conferences there for work, so I'll hitch a ride with her, check them out and report back.

Surely one of them will fulfill my greedy pony needs! :winkpony:

Keep on finding treasures, Kasara! I'll keep being jealous! LOL!

I am gonna guess the collect was a kid that owned these, that's the only thing I can think of :sadpony: There was another over at the thrift store with short hair as well, since my house is just right behind it XD I will either have to put some new hair on them or make them into customs.

Haha, thank you! ^__^ It helps when you live in a 10 mile radius of about 9 thrift stores  (Although, I really only go to about 3 of them)

Ooohh yeah, sounds like a Goodwill Outlet I went to over in Arizona once >o< I am sorry it was crappy! The one here is pretty nice :sadpony: I hope you have better luck with the other outlets!

Such pony luck! Come here let me rub you for some pony luck! Awesome finds =):satisfied:

I think when it comes to the hair what happens is (at least for me) that the child wants to give their toy a "hair cut" and may not realize that it won't grow back and by then its too late. I know I wanted to give my barbie's hair cuts a lot but my parents would warn me that if I snipped off their hair it'd never come back.
And then there are kids who just plain don't appreciate what they have and simply like to ruin things.

I think kids do tend to be very 'in the moment' and don't really think about the ramifications of their actions. My mom loves to tell everyone how I cut my own hair up to my shoulders when I was quite little. Apparently it was unusally long, past my waist, and I just hacked it all off. I wasn't thinking about what it would look like, or that it would take forever to grow back, I just liked cutting things.

Needless to say the paddling I received taught me quite well to never use scissors carelessly again. :winkpony:

I love to buy Bad hair Ponies though. I know their chances of adoption are slim and to me, they have a certain charm and certainly a colourful history. Many of these haircuts Ponies are probably dreaming of revenge, even now.
