Hello everyone! Just wanted to share the costume I wore to the MD Meet! I'll also wear it to AnimeNext (where I'll purchase furry legwarmers and maybe something for my arms for Halloween) and to the MLP Fair.

Before I start, I'd just like to nip comments in the bud by telling you all I'm a plus-size girl, and this is a plus size cosplay. I've seen comments in other communities about this, so if this bothers you or you feel the need to comment about it, please don't. I had a lot of fun making this with my dear friend Dan, and a lot of fun wearing it on Saturday. <3

The pics I have here were taken with my camera by Kar Red Roses, but if anyone feels they have better shots you can post them as well.

We worked on the skirt for three weeks. It was the debut of the costume, and we LITERALLY finished it at the 11th hour Thursday night. XD I have to take the 11:27 bus to get home or he's stuck driving me. I didn't put the whole thing together til we arrived in Baltimore Friday night, and Jewel and the Overnight Contingent were kind enough to give me feedback before the Meet the next day.

You can't really see my light blue Converse with the rainbow laces, but I assure you all they are awesome!

Dan was my own personal Rarity and I am so grateful for him. I wouldn't have even started this project had he not agreed to help me in the outset. Thank you so much, Dan. <3

Kar was telling me to act tough like Dash and pegasusy, but she was making me crack up so it was hard. XD

The wings were purchased, but I used the headband from the halo they came with to attach my ears. I carved them from foam and covered them in felt.

I made the iron on for the shirt myself, but that was a bit of a pain as most of them use INKJET printers, and mine was a laser jet. Once again, Dan came through because he needed to purchase one for work and wanted to test it at home.

These next two were taken by Kar on HER camera. I'm hosting them through my own Photobucket though. They came out awesome:

You can see more of my embroidery floss tail. I didn't realize how the skirt swallowed it up, so I'll be altering it before Anime Next. That and the red layer needs some fixing.

I need a better shot of my hair. I have cyber locks in my ponytail. Originally I was going to wear them as pigtails, but the girls recommended I make it a regular ponytail, and I like that. I may pigtail it for one day of Anime Next and compare the two looks before the Fair.

So that's it. Hope you guys at least like it. I know Maycrestmom's daughter kept smiling at me and looking, so that made me happy. <3

BEAUTIFUL! I just love your cosplay! Sounds like you had heaps of fun :)

Very cool. I can tell you put a lot of work into that skirt! I like the shoes as well. :)

You look like you had so much fun :D and that skirt is amazing!! Thank you so much for sharing, you made me smile :)

It is an AWESOME costume!!! (feel free to "snag" the pics I took, too,if you want them, but they're not as good as these) I especially loved the bouncy cyber locks and shoes/laces, and if you make the tail more noticeable it will be just about perfect. Oh, adding furry legs is a terrific idea!

Sweet costume :) I especially love the lil skirt ! Very cute

I love it! You did a great job, especially on the skirt. :eek:k:

PS. Gonna PM you about something I noticed.....

That is such a cool idea! I have always wanted to make a skirt like that, so I know how much time and effort must have gone into it... and it looks great!

Also I LOVE THE BAG! Your purse is so pretty and goes great with the outfit :)
