My poor lost Skyflier ;-; *edit* She's home again!

I usually liked to bring my pony Skyflier on big trips that I went on because I thought it was fun making photo diaries to remember the trip. I thought it was fun and I think it helped me take more pictures of my trip if I had a traveling item with me. Anyway, I've been trying to retrace my steps as to where I last saw my pony because now I can't find her. I remember I didn't have her when I went to Jamaica during January. I actually took my sister's because I didn't have mine then. And the last time I think I saw her I brought her up to a place in Cape Cod where we went to right after Christmas.

Anyway, my mom suggested I call the place we stayed at today and see if possibly she was still there. Don't know why I didn't think of it before. So I called today and left a description of her at the resort and they said they would call me back. After that conversation I was really excited that there still might be a chance...but I just got the phone call and they said they haven't seen her. :(

I felt silly about being so upset about misplacing a toy (and I'm 22) when I called the resort. I feel like a little kid who lost her blanket. lol But I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar story about loosing a pony (or toy) they cared a lot for.

(Actually this is getting me thinking of a contest...hmmm.... I'll keep you posted) ^_^

Awwww! I feel so bad for your loss... I'll keep my eyes peeled.. Depending on the weather this weekend, want to check out the outdoor flea market this Sunday in errr, Wallingford or wherever it is?
 
aww! I always like seeing your pictures with Skyflier. That's neat that your sister lent you her pony. Are you looking to get a replacement Skyflier? Because I happen to have an extra, who is yours if you just say the word... :)

No, not my cat! lol...I like to do something similar with photos and trips, but was always afraid of losing my Sherbet. So, I took around a Cotton Candy, since I seemed to have a ton of those. But, she just didn't mean that much to me. Eventually, I acquired an extra Sherbet and an extra Gusty (my favorite pony) and even though they're extras, I just can't part with them. I've taken them with me several places, and I'm now more attached to my extra Sherbet than I am to my original, which I remember getting from the store. Crazy, I know...but I would be devastated to lose one of my ponies. Skyflier was my first pony, and after one day, she started telling me she was lonely, so I convinced my parents that she needed a friend. Skyflier was only alone one day, and then Gusty came home. I played with those 2 so much, but took pretty good care of them, considering I've had them since I was about 4. So I'm adding a pic here of my original ponies on the left, and my doubles that go places with me on the right.

Awww Sherbet that's so sweet!!! *tears* I think I would be very interested in your extra Skyflier! I would feel so fortunate to have one from a board member here, especially from you since you like her too. ^_^ I must tell you that I will be spoiling her tremendously! ;) My family is already planning a trip to France this summer and I was worried I wouldn't have a pony to take. lol I'll be sending you a PM right away! Your ponies look truly loved and your kitty is gorgeous too!

Hmm, look what happened this morning... both my Skyfliers tried to be like Skyflier's Skyflier and sniff flowers, but then my Sherbet decided to try to jump out and scare them. Well, she scared the duplicate Skyflier right out the door and to the post office. Which one is it?? hehe

Sherbet that picture and story was so funny! And thank you so much again you've really made my day, month, and year! I'll be posting pics as soon as she arrives. ^_^ I'm so giddy! lol That Skyflier looks so pretty!

hehe no problem. I have fun being silly. :lol: I have a hard time parting with my duplicates even though I want to, so I didn't hesitate to do so once I had a reason. This'll give me more room and give Skyflier the attention she deserves...poor girl was sitting on an unseen shelf in the hallway with the other doubles. And that picture with my cat - I was trying to take one of the 4 ponies, and he kept getting in the way and knocking them down, he wanted attention. So I finally made him be still long enough to take a pic. :p

I hope that you can find her again. But Sherbert's generosity is truly wonderful.
I hope your replacement brings you as much joy as the original.
This thread makes me want to pick a pony to travel with but I don't know which one I should choose! I love them all but the ones with the space or star designs are my favorites...but how can I pick just one?
 
I have a similar story. I was about 8 or so, and my family decided to go fishing at a local lake. Me being young and totally uninterested in fishing, I decided to bring some ponies along with me so I wouldnt be bored. The two ponies I chose were fancy mermaid pony (Don't remember her name, but she's the blue one with the crab) and a little yellow newborn pegasus with purple hair and a safety pin symbol. I remember making them a rock castle near the water, and then going back to the picknick area for lunch. I thought I had put them in my backpack, but when I got home from the trip I noticed they were gone. :( I was so sad! I searched every pocket in my backpack as well as the car, but still no ponies. I asked my mom to take me back to the lake to find them, but she was convinced that they wouldn't be there. Needless to say, I never found my ponies. :(

Take turns between the ones you like! :) Just be careful not to loose them! ;)

Baby Ribbs- I'm so sorry you lost ponies too. :/ It's really not fun especially when you were having so much fun with them. If I had any duplicates I'd send a RAOPK (random act of pony kindness) to you.

Good news everyone!! Skyflier arrived yesterday and she is doing great! She has certainly made herself at home and is now sitting proudly on top of my computer. ^_^ Here we are reunited!

YAY! I'm so glad you're reunited with your long lost Sky Flier! You two look so happy to be back together. :D
 
*awwwwwww*!!!! I've actually got a tear coming down, a combination of laughing at Skyflier tearing out of that package and of being happy she's so loved. :) That page of pictures is priceless, and the one of Sherbet and Skyflier together is like the icing on the cake. I showed it all to my parents and they are all smiles, too. She sure made her way fast, she heard the news about our snowstorm. Smart pony! Glad she made it! :)

Skyflier, I'm so sorry you lost your traveling pony. That's terrible, because I bet she meant a whole, whole lot to you. Now you have a new Skyflier, and I bet she'll mean a whole lot to you as well!
