My Pony Room (a Work in progress)

I moved out over a year ago...and finally got my pony room!
Its still a work in progress (the pictures are missing so much! And there is still a ridiculous amount of ponies...MOC G1 collection and most of my G3's that are not on display....*sniff)
that won't be done for quite awhile...

I have BIG plans for this room! But alas, money....and time is so hard to find! In fact, if it wasn't for
FANTASTICFIREFLY my room would still have boxes all over the place! She came over one night and we pulled an all nighter to set things up (lmao....I can't believe these pictures are already out of date! My collection grows by the day )

But I've worked hard at getting what I have and love it!
The whole room reeks of pony smell!!

I will post pictures once I get all the MOC's hung on the wall....I just need the money to buy those 3M hooks (the MOC's are my fave, so I am sad they are still packed away) And I didn't get very good shots of the "above the shelf" areas....those are packed too!
I do have close up pictures.....I will add them to this thread another time

And just for those who are wondering....I've been "officially" collecting at a pretty steady pace for about 10 years or so? Minus the childhood ponies of course

Here is a shot of the first two of my three G1 cabinets.....playsets are also on the top layer I LOVE playsets! and above them are puzzles and other G1 games and such

Shelving units #2 and #3...and you can see some of the baby sea ponies I have ^^ Not many more to go!

Huzzah! But I can't wait to unpack the rest of them!

More G3 stuff....thats an actual G3 merchandiser I got from a store in 2003 or 2004 when they first came out....it has a nice picture, but its covered with ponies. LOL

Wow you have an amazing collection it's incredible. Everything looks wonderful how you have it organised - those cabinets are fab. I'm jealous of anybody with glass fronted displays dusting ponies is a pain

The shelves are just IKEA shelves....the G3 one needs all the upgrades for it still (glass shelves, each door, lights, extensions....etc etc) Its the BILLY series.
The three all souped up were bought from a fellow collector years ago (Violetstarshine) when she left Canada for the USofA and I got a FABULOUS deal on them and all their bells and whistles.

I have a little time now, so I am posting the close ups of the shelves

(I'll do cabinet #1 and #2 and #3, from top to bottom....)

(nursery and Edgar are both finds from Value Village this year....the nearly complete and perfect nursery was only $5!)

Some of the "UK" ponies are on the bottom of this shelving unit....I have no where else to put them!

(I've since added a MIB Sparkle pony Sunspot since this picture! Seee, already waaaay out of date!! Some of my "rare" ponies that are supposed to be displayed in the white cabinet leaning on the wall (alsowith glass door/shelves)

I love my "******" ponies! They are napping! I'm also a BIG fan of 80's books, and buy most, but not all, when I find them

Some custom Twinklers that people have made for me over the years.....I love the baby Twinks!
And my new petite carosol curtosy of FantasticFirefly! She is so awesome!

Gorgeous! Every time I see someone's collection, I say, "Wow those are awesome shelves" - and yours may be my favorite yet! Everything is so neatly displayed and it doesn't seem cluttered. And what beautiful ponies- really nice, and I like how you have some accessories with ponies as well. I like Wind Whistler sleeping on the bed hehe. Very nice!

Yep. those are the ones.
You get the basic bookcase and you can add to it.

Upgrades you can add
Glass shelves
Glass Doors

Everytime I see someones collection in nice glass cabinets and all set out. I feel like mine is piddly in comparison. It's probably not, but it sure takes time and money to build it up like that one.
