Hi,
So, after my first pony being so well received I kinda got a little ... over ambitious for my second pony.
Thus this Pony was born.
I was hugely nervous about doing this project as I've never sculpted anything up from such a basic form, I've used these materials before, but never to create anything like wings or scales from scratch so it was a hugely involved project that I learnt soo much from along the way.
Based on Deathwing from World of Warcraft he is a full body sculpt over a G1 one pony, renedered entirely in Kneadatite and some Plasticard/Styrene for flavour and texture.
He has taken the better part of three weeks worth of spare time, doing hours of sculpting every few days, and then a MARATHON painting session that lasted 8hours of a day that I honestly had nothing better to be doing.
Haha.
But, what resulted was this BEAST!
Behold, My Little Deathwing: Ponywing ... breaker of Equestria, unmaker of Ponyville!
I am personally hugely happy with how he has come out, and have really surprised myself with how good he looks.
His paint job required two undercoats, then two colours of Dry Brushing, then feathering on EVERY scale in another colour. Then of course the metal pieces where done, and inked over to give them their dull look, and then his lava detail and his eyes where coloured. He then sucked most of a can of Satin Varnish for two layers of sealing. THEN gloss varnish over his eyes simply for effect.
I will be taking offers on him if people would like to purchase him, but he defiantly won't be cheap.
Feel free to ask any questions about him.
And I am defiantly interested in taking commissions now.
