So, I traded w/ Red_Kimber here - I was finally going to get Foamy, the last Baby Sea Pony (at least US ones) I needed! I almost was able to trade for an adult Sea Breeze, also, but, alas, she told me she traded her for a Jem doll to someone who had inquired prior.

Anyway, I'm waiting for Foamy, and she's coming from Canada, so I know she'll take a bit. She finally arrives yesterday - woot! But the package feels heavy! o_O So I pull out Foamy:

Ta da! She just so happened to have me as her person to send to in the Cultural Exchange! I was so surprised! She sent me gobs of Canadian stuff, including coins, sweater pins, paper flags, stamps, a tour-guide book, among other things, and some Pony stickers! :D Then she had a little package that said 'Open Last!' on it - I did, and boy was I surprised! In it was this:

:eek:nfire: I almost cried! She didn't trade her off, lol, she just told me that, because she wanted it to be a surprise. ^-^ I was surprised, alright! Sea Breeze is going to be my prized Pony for a while, lol. *Hugs Sea Breeze*

So now I have ALL of the US issued Baby Seas:

holy CRAP! how long did it take you to get them all? it took me a couple months just to find baby Sea Breeze, and I didn't even get her float. I think after my year of collecting I only have.. 5? 6? baby sea ponies, and two adults. lol. So if you went my pace, that must have taken FOR-EV-ER.




congratulations on completing not an entire set, but an entire type! and so many floats too.. mmmmmm.
 
Lol - it took YEARS. I got lucky several years ago and found several of them at a flea market w/ several floats from one lady that kept Ponies for me when she came across them. I think I got like 6 or 7 of them. o_O I've been concentrating on them for a good two or three years now, and on and off before then. Now I need to get all of their floats. :shock:
 
What a nice collection you have there! hehe that's so neat about getting the sea pony you thought was traded away. What a neat surprise that was...and with a cute Canadian ribbon, too. :D

I love sea pony floats, its really hard though...how will you display?
 
Honestly, I have no clue right now, but I have time to come up w/ something, as I don't know when I'll actually display my collection again. Right now they're mostly all in boxes in the basement, where I will display them someday...

I dont even have one sea pony yet, congrats to you it must be great to have such a big collection of sea ponies. Lucky.

Lol, thanks. She is a doll, isn't she? ^-^

As far as how they're displayed - I don't. Lol. The majority of my collection is boxed in the basement (where I'll eventually display them) at the present time being. I need to get everything else around here in order before I can get my Ponies in order. :p When I did have them displayed, I set the ones in floats up on the shelf w/ their floats, and I used a spice-rack for the ones w/out floats - worked really well! I should have a picture somewhere that I can scan in...

Thanks, sweetie. *Hugs* Sea Breeze has been everywhere w/ me, and sporting her Canadian bow. ;) She's even been in four or five different restaurants, too!

I made individual clay stands for my seaponies. They fit pefectly and stand straight up. =]
