My G1 Collection

Hello,

I am an adult collector, though I was born in the 80s. I did not start collecting Vintage 80s/early-90s ponies until May of 2013. The first ponies I purchased for my collection was a set of Applejack and Bowtie dolls, spurring me into my new hobby of vintage hoarding of My Little Ponies.
I only collect Generation 1 (1980s to early 1990s) My Little Ponies as I do not like the more edgy appearance of the later generations. The G1s have a softer look, in my personal opinion.

My husband surprised me with a pony for my birthday!

Big Brother Tex

A gift to me was this handsome fella, Tex! He even has his hard-to-find hat and bandana. All that's missing is his blue cricket comb!
He is in excellent overall condition with the tiniest of permanent staining on his hooves' undersides, almost unnoticeable. His mane and tail are extremely soft with no trims! The only biggest noticeable issue with Tex is he suffers from fan-tail (when the mane sticks up at the root rather than lay flat against the neck) which I will fix using a low heat hairdryer soon.

His bandana is in delicate condition with signs of fraying. I repaired it using clear nail polish to gently harden and seal the fabric from further damage.
Tex's hat has started to yellow but the symbol on the brim is in great condition with no scuffs!

More Ponies arrived today. I usually have 6 or 7 on the way in the mail from auctions I've won, etc.

Twice as Fancy Sweet Tooth and Up, Up, & Away

Sweet Tooth (blue pony) has frizzy hair that I've attempted to tame with conditioner and a bristle hairdryer. It looks better than it did upon arrival, anyways! She has some permanent staining under her girth, on her lip and a bit of yellowing. Her cheek blush is faded.
Up, Up & Away (pink pony) is in great condition with soft hair and no scuffs to her markings. The only noticable issue is she does have some yellowing over her body and symptoms of tail rust (which will be cleaned using diluted CLR).

My newsest ponies arrived today.

Italy-Exclusive Trickles

Her hair is perfect and she has zero staining or sunfading! Her only noticable flaw is a scuff to her left eye just under the white shine paint.

Baby Sister Apple Delight

I also finally got Baby Sister Apple Delight! Her picture can be found in the original post alongside her parents.
She has some hair frizzies and her body is a little dirty. She doesn't have any permanent stains or sunfading, nor any haircuts however!

Two new ponies arrived today!

UK-Exclusive "Love in the Mist"

This pony arrived today with a mane and tail in pretty bad shape, suffering from the frizzies. It was a mass like one big poofball. I spent 20 minutes brushing, conditioning and then using a bristle hairdryer to help tame the frizz. It is still very frizzy but it has been flattened and no longer stands up on end.
She has a few scuffs (the most noticable of them being on her display side hip symbol) but has no sunfading or staining. She is one of the few ponies to NOT have blush on her cheeks.

UK-Exclusive Snowflake

Arrived in good condition with only the big issue of her mane suffering from fan-tail (when it sticks up at the root rather than lay flat against the neck). I'll fix the mane with a hairdryer on low heat soon. She does have a bit of a rub to her hip symbol but overall she is like new in appearance with no haircuts, staining or sunfading. She is one of the few adult ponies to have freckles instead of blush!

The plush and their doll counterparts are displayed that way on the shelf, yes. I'm actually running out of room on my current shelf and need to move things around to fit my new ponies.

Lofty (Adult Sized Plush)

Arrived today! Birthday gift from my mother. Great shape overall with just some scuffing to the eyes (totally normal for these plush) and perhaps just a small tail trim on the end. Believe the seller is actually someone from this site.

Good shape, very minor scuffing (almost unnoticable). Hair is a bit fuzzy with a grungy feel to it. Needs a bath.

Sorry about the dirty table. Cat constantly walks on it so I just gave up wiping it down every single day.
