My First Custom: Hermione

This is my first custom. I modelled it after Hermione Granger in her Yule Ball dress. Still a few touches to put on but she's pretty much finished. Details: Can't remember what pony it was. Sorry! Used Sculpey and acrylic paint. Found stick on gems for her earrings (they will be secured ;) ) Enjoy and thanks for looking :)

Thanks Starblaze! I've always wanted to try my hand at it. Seems I have a knack for it :)! It's a lot of fun!
 
I also figured out which pony it is. It's Silver Glow :)

Thank you! I am probably going to sell her. It's hard to part with her though as she's my first! Decisions, decisions!

Utocyonfox: for me, I lay a base first with the general shape I want the hair to be in and then I build on it. This was done using 'snakes' of rolled sculpey. I also used thinner pieces to help the hair curl and bend easier so I could make it into those wavy shapes. Hope that helps. :)
 
She's so pretty! Very neat. I've never tried sculpting parts for ponies before.
 
O.M.G! I'll say you have a knack for it! That's your very first one!? Are you an alien!? You are sooo amazing! That is just an incredible custom! Gorgeous! The folds in the cloth,her intricate hair... Absolutely fabulous!

....The scary part is...you're only going to get better... :wow1:

Do you have any before pictures? What materials do you use? She is so pretty! Ive never seen this type of work before!

LOL Sundazzle, thank you so much! It's possible I am an alien :circle: lol Yezs, it's my first one ever. I am an artistic individual and tend to be able to switch up mediums easily :) I also am a photographer, and painter. :) Quelle Surprise? lol I actually have another one that I'm working on now. An indian princess of sorts for a friend.

I do have some yes. I'll have to see about uploading them. I used sculpey, acrylic paint, and 2 stick on flower gems lol
