Okay, so I guess I'll post an updated pic of my FIM collection. As you'll notice, I try to keep it small by limiting myself to Fashion Style Ponies and fillies.

I haven't really added any to the collection in some time and I'm sure there's quite a few I'm gonna need to get my hands on.


Maybe I'll take some more pics once I do something about how unkempt their hair has become. G4 hair is so wire-like and weird and they always seem to have the worst box hair.


EDIT: Hmm, this picture has a lot of noise going on. I may need to retake it, because that's really annoying.

They really do have cheap, quick to frizz and fray hair, those G4s. I hate that, because I love the toys, even though I wish there was more to the line.

I love your Fashion Styles! I am constantly bemoaning that I never found Applejack. I really am going to have to bite a bullet and get her.

AJ did become quite rare pretty quickly, didn't she? Sometimes you can find a "decent" deal on her if you wait long enough while searching hard.

I got mine some years ago from somebody in Germany or something and it was cheaper to get her that way including shipping than any deals in my country. Unfortunately, she doesn't seem to be a variant, but I don't mind. At least she's a part of the collection.


I'm to scared to check what FS ponies have been released that I'll have to buy to get my collection up to date, as I haven't been allowing myself to purchase these kinds of things lately.

Anyone know if any new fillies are out? Those tend to be cheap and easy to get and I love to play with them.

Oh gosh, they have pumped out a buncha FS Ponies. There's a target exclusive Pinkie Pie with black and white stripes in her mane, translucent Twilight & Rainbow (I think those are TRU exclusives), Through the Mirror Celestia, Twilight and Luna (Wal-Mart only), Cutie Mark Magic Cadence and Sunset Shimmer and then the impossible to find Rainbow Power Applejack and Daisy Dreams. There's also Rainbow Power Pinkie and Rainbow, but those you can find easy enough.

That's what I can remember anyway! :D

As for fillies, there was Twirly treats, she came with a Mrs Cakes set and Twist A Loo, Star Dreams and Silver Spoons those all came with the Cutie Mark Crusaders set. The CMCs had a release as singles with animal marks cascading down their legs (somewhere I have a pic I'll add). So not tonnes of fillies for us. I want a whole line of fillies, darn it.

Wow, I'm gonna have to look into those fillies and see what they'll run me.
A handful of them would be nice to balance out my collection with. So there's a brushable Silver Spoon, eh? I'm gonna have to look into that.
I think we need Twist and Snails and Snips! Gosh!

LOL :'D what a clip. But biker mice from mars is good show ;) or at least it was until they decided to not draw them like they used to be...

Yeah, BMFM might be a good show, but that won't change the fact that Batman is going to do that thing I'm not going to say here because I don't wanna spoil the ending for anyone else that hasn't seen it.


By the way, know any methods for keeping these G4 Ponies' hair in place and prevent frizz?

Hiya!!!!!
Just recently I have started restoring (or better, reloving) some G1s, I got from e-bay. After giving them their bath and their hair-conditioner, I wrap a long-cut piece of kitchen paper over their neck curling their mane and keeping it in place with tape. I do the same with the tail, wrapping it around one leg and then wrapping paper. I did exactly the same over my G4s dry hair, when I had to put them in bags for moving and it worked fine. Why don't you give it a try? It might be the answer to frizzing!;)

I may have to do that. I've cut Twilight's hair, so I may have to be a little more careful with that.

If I still had access to a vinyl cutter and a million different colored rolls of vinyl, I'd create some vector scenery based on the show and build a themed case for them.

Vinyl backdrops seem like they would fit these G4 ponies perfectly. Imagine if they were in glass case lit up with LEDs and stuff. That would be neat. Then again, nobody I know ever really gets to see them these days.

Lol! But Biker Mice From Mars is awesome! That poor guy, he got insulted, KO'ed AND had his ponies stolen!

Its kinda how I imagine it would be if @Skygleamshine and @evilbunnyfoofoo teamed up to relieve their fellow pony fans of their illustrious collections. Minus the insults, the OHKOs and in different costumes of course.

Skygleam would dress up as Darkwing Duck and Foofoo as Wonder Woman, they'd threaten us with tater cannons and then bind and gag as us as they vanished, cackling maniacally into the night.

My friend used me as a character in a comic strip he did in a 'zine, years ago. I was B'wana Becky and I rode around on dinosaurs, hunting bigger dinosaurs. Wish I still had those. They were a hoot.

I could do some real damage with a tater gun on the back of a brachiosaurus.
 
I got the Wild Rainbow Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle, but I never got Apple Bloom, which makes me sad. Now they don't sell her anymore. Maybe I will check eBay.

You might want to look at some targets, Coolycoconut. Last time I was at mine they still had these. If I see an Apple Bloom next time I'm there I'll grab her for you.
 
Still haven't added any new ponies to the collection yet. Have any new characters been added to the FS line?



Oh! And I've been thinking of giving them a makeover and taking a nice picture of them in front of a green-screen and keying in a nice vector FIM background. It would be good photography, digital art and doll styling practice
