Hello ponies! My son stops by me when I am on the computer and I show him customs, funny pictures, and sigs. I was telling him about McD's ponies coming out on Friday, then I pulled up the thread and he saw the pics. He tried to name some of them as he usually does. It's cute that he takes an interest in my stuff. So he got one of the names wrong and I told him that they didn't make that pony anymore, they only made the same seven over and over again. He then jumped backwards from the computer and exclaimed, "They can't stop making Skywishes, she's the best one! She's in the first movie! Uhhh, errr, umpf..." and he made several other noises of utter exasperation. Just thought I would share a genuine reaction of my 8 year-old son. :catmoon:

Aww.... Tell him that we share his disgust! So cute that he is interested in your hobbies!

I'm with him! Nice to know we're not the only ones against Bore 7

Awww! That is very cute! I liked this story you told us!

awww! what a smart kid! Skywishes is one of the best ponies in my book, too!

Good boy. if only Hasbro listened to the people who are actually buying these toys and using them to play or display... *sigh*

I agree. MLP is marketed for kids but it's the adults who are shelling out the money to buy them (whether for ourselves, kids, or both). I think Hasbro isn't taking into account that they need to keep us adults happy too.

You know. . . .isn't it weird they're just doing the character limiting thing to MLP? They certainly aren't doing it with Transformers or LPS. They keep saying they want kids to get to know the 7 chars better (or some similar nonsense). Yet I see a ton of diff Transformer toys out there--MANY of which NEVER appear in the cartoons or movies (I follow Transformers pretty closely too). Apparently no one has any problems getting close to those chars despite the huge volume of TF toys out there.

I must remember to submit a question based on the above next Fair. I would LOVE to hear their answer to that one.

I'd love to hear the answer to that as well! I mean...what is there to learn about the Bore 7 that little kids don't already know? I mean...isn't that kind of what Back Cards are for? *Goes and looks at Transformers* Yup, you get to learn each one's back story there!

I dunno, maybe we're just missing something? Or Hasbro is very very lost.

aw, you should get LLB to make your son a Skywishes McDonalds pony!
