Gwenn bought me some for my birthday, and I wanted to know if anyone has used it to secure ponies.
From everything I've read, it should be fine, but I get super nervous.

I use that stuff for lots of stuff. It will take paint off the wall but I would think it's harmless to original pony plastic. But I don't recommend it for any customs that are painted. I have used it to pose ponies before but not an extended amount of time so I can't say for sure it won't hurt them. Other things I have used it for items that might have sat for many years (stuff in my old dollhouse) and it hardened to the items but it sat in storage for many many years. Others might have more experience with using it for ponies.

In addition to all that @OctoberMoon had said, I was curious and was looking at the reviews on amazon. Some people says it left residue on the surface when they took it apart. If it's clear, I think it'll be okay. Just wouldn't use it on customs though either

I bought some for my partner for her figures since I run into the shelf a lot. I know a lot of model horse collectors use it. Her characters are vinyl pieces and it doesn’t seem to cause issues.
