Flutta pony drawn by me~~!

What a lovely, teensy little baby! *hopes the PI babies are that small*

Also... Since when do My Little Ponies have a standard infant size? They're toys loosely based on horses; but horses do not come in shades of pink, purple and green as far as I know. So I don't think their babies are supposed to be a certain size :p

get real people! luna does fantastic art and all i care about is that it's cute, not claptrap about proportions.
:?

Definitely one of your best ones, gorgeous and sweet, I love it

That's extremely close-minded of you. If anything, you're encouraging her not to grow as an artist. All artists need to grow, and studying proportions helps that along considerably.

That kinda depends on the subject matter, really. Yeah, the baby in this pic is itty-bitty, but when you breed a horse and a donkey you get a horse with ears that are out of proportion (<3 mules).
Lunacat's been doing the whole pony art thing for quite some time now that I can remember and I have a feeling that if something seems out of proportion, she meant it to be. Besides, there's really only one person you need to impress with a comission like that: The person paying.
Also, maybe the baby is adopted.

Sure, she has been drawing ponies for a long time, but artistic growth is artistic growth and shouldn't be stunted with comments that discourage it. There is always room for improvement, with any artist, even if you have been doing what you're doing for years.

The disporportion could have been intended, but I don't think that's very likely. Many drawings by her have various porportions, and the disporportions do not look intended, nor has anything been stated about them that I have witnessed.

I'm not saying I'm perfect, I draw disporportionate things all the time, but I think that helping others realize their own disporportions allows us to see our own mistakes as well. ^_^

Though, you're right, the importance of the buyer's happiness is definitely significant.

get your head out of your rear rose! you come off as a total holier than thou *****. WE like it, even if you don't.

The drawing may have a little porportion problem but I'm not going to change it. It was a commission drawing and if the commissioner wants me to make some changes then I will. As for the newborn baby, it's staying small, I do not plan to change it. If you want your newborn big in your drawings that's fine.
I read about your Critiques, there is no need to argu about the drawing or hound me to death about the porportions.

Rose, do you have a major in art? Do you teach a class? Is Luna submitting this for a grade? No? I am sick of seeing you poo on people's hard work. Or will this turn out to be "another bad day" like with Latiloo?

Luna, I love how your art has grown since I have seen your stuff on the original TP. The picture brings a sense of happiness and protection, I love it!

I love it :) I don't have any sort of problems with the newborn's size. Afterall, it IS a newborn. To me it SHOULD be tiny. :) Nice work Luna! :)

Very pretty Lunacat -
in regards to the proportions and others coments about them - to offer critism in a cutting way and then say it is to help an artist grow is not critism but complaining. Yes some proportions are off but since the original Hasbro models are not proportional to them selfs it should not be such a be big issue. I have noticed a large number of Pony Artist with similar problems, so I do not understand why such a huge case is being made here, in regards to LC's proportions.

As has been said before in this thread the person who comission it has the final say. She has already posted that she likes it.

I have often thought about commissioning a drawing like that, with a tiny nb. It's just adoarble.

Your work is amazing girl, your an inspiration to many of us. :D
