So back in May my town had it's big indoor garage sale. Ponywise it's usually a bust, though I've found other treasures there in the past. This time I did find something that I think was a good one. The Baby Buggy (white one). It's no where near complete and has some yellowing but for $2.00 (mislabeled as a barbie item to boot) I'm happy with it. Had to dig out one of my Cuddles to pose with it.
I also ran into my first "all ponies are worth big $$" person. We (my friend who doesn't collect but still has her ponies and likes to look with me) found a small bin at one persons booth with about 10 common ponies and a bunch of accessories and clothes. We couldn't find a price and eventually one of the ladies wandered over to help us. We asked what they were wanting for the ponies (my friend was eyeballing one) and the first thing out of the ladies mouth was "These are all from the 80's". My mind first kinda went "well no duh, so am I" then "uhoh, here comes the high price tag". The lady then assured us that they all sell for $15 or more on eBay and they were only asking $5.00 each. Which I admit that wasn't too bad but like I said, most were common like Firefly and a Blossom that I can remember and all needed a cleaning and salon visit. My friend did get a Glo-Worm accessory from the First Tooth set for $0.50 though so not a total loss.
