Actually, I'd like to echo @Sassarazzmadazzles 's concern here. International post is more demanding and I've had parcels and letters not reach destination because I used nicknames or didn't format the address properly.

Some of the addresses are quite unclear (as in, I can't tell what's a ZIP code, what's a city, what's a state) and others don't have a country listed. Someone's from the UK, for example, and I only realised that was the case because the format was so odd I googled it.
 
The address that were sent out were what the participants provided.

Yes I don't doubt that at all. :)

I just mean that addresses are not formated the same way everywhere in the world and some of the addresses were not very clear and/or incomplete. Hopefully nothing will get lost but with incomplete names, countries, or messy formats I'm not overly confident.
It was the first year of that event. It's normal that there would be some little things that could be improved for the following year. No biggy :)
 
When I sent my information, I didn't realize the 'preferred' name was going to replace the name for the mailing (had put my name with the address that I messaged). I thought it was the name you wanted written in the letter or anything written inside by the person sending out the card :blush:

Just the other day I got junk mail with Wildshadow and my last name :rofl: Not sure when I used that as a first name in the multiple accounts I made back in the day.

I am not using my legal name, either way. I've been trying to figure out a new name to change to, and so far "Rain" is the only part of it I'm sure about. I submitted just that because I didn't want to look back on these cards however long later and see a last name I decided against using. If you feel strongly about it though, hmm.... Perhaps Star, my newest persona's first name.

A Firefly would be great or my OctoberMoon, but I don't really have her pinned down yet as an OC.

I hadn't thought of the possibility of people not being comfortable with their names. It does make sense. :)

All addresses that were provided are complete. I had double checked everything before I purchased my postage. ;)

As far as configurations, how an address is sent to us is how we share it. If it looks messy that’s on the member’s who send their info. We can’t control how anyone types an address and it is different how things look for most countries.

We respect our members and what names they wish to provide, if they prefer to put their username that’s up to them. Postal services won’t stop mail with a nickname on an item, so long as the address is correct. This has never been an issue in the past and don’t see it being an issue now.

Last names are not required so long as addresses are correct. As long as an address is on an envelope you technically don’t even need a name on mail. How else would we all get “junk mail” sent!? Lol Can’t tell you how many times we get “home owner” or “resident of” mail every week in our box. :rofl: :valentine:
