MLPTP Summer Reading Swap! *get to reading ;)

I have been book shopping. Mostly for me, haha. Hunting for my partners has been a perfect excuse. :D
 
I have been reading all the library cards, and keep seeing things I forgot I like and books I have read too :rofl:
 
Yeah, I might send little book recs to everyone, just for fun. Also: PLEASE SEND ME BOOK RECS :p

@Draco suggested we do a little 'buddy read' thread in friends, and I would be DOWN FOR THAT. It looks like we have lots of fantasy fans?

Would that be like a book club, where we all read the same book together? :O
 
I am enjoying finding some books for my reader, I think I got the best one to shop for and to be transparent I let Darklys assign the partners so I didn't even cherry pick them myself LOL I hope they like the books I've picked!
 
I've been having so much fun with this! I've completed my research and writing my letter for one partner. Now it's time to start researching for the other and then putting together the letters and envelopes. I'm learning a lot about books I want to read in the future as well while researching!

@darklys and @Draco I would TOTALLY be down for a buddy read and book recommendations thread or something! Yes, please!

Hey all, let's start on 7/15. There are 321 pages and 41 chapters. What if we try for a chapter a day (since they are short)? We can check in each day if so inclined, but since many of us don't have lives that are conducive to that, we can plan to check in about the first 7 chapters on Saturday...

I received books for my hard copy partner yesterday (with one still in the mail, but the majority came in), and I am turning my focus to my list partner now.

How is everyone doing with their shopping? We have nine days left.

Side note: Would anyone mind (aka, not be OK with) me sending them a book list (level 1) and letter as an 'extra' cause I find it fun? Will it make anyone unhappy or make them feel the swap is unbalanced? I just thought it would be fun to send some recs, but I don't want anyone to be uncomfortable.
 
I think I am waiting for one book, and then I am ready to go. This swap has got me ready to sign up to my local library :D

I wouldn't feel uncomfortable! <3 Its only a letter!
 
Ambitious Darklys! :p :rofl: I would not mind a RAOK list of book suggestions, can never have too many books, or ponies :happyhearts:
 
Got my package all together hoping to send it out in the next couple days!

And I’ll have to pass on the letter just because I’m going to be switching addresses soon and would hate for my letter to get stuck at the wrong place, sounds like a wonderful idea though! :tongue:
 
Shipping deadline is Sat, I'm going to be getting mine out by the end of the week. I just have 2 little things to grab and then it'll be package time. I may have enjoyed shopping for this a little too much LOL
 
Yes, I've been having a ton of fun!
I was 'vetting' a few books these last few weeks, too. :D
I hope we do another one of these. Not a great turnout, but so fun!
