Hello, I just finished watching the mlp toys that made us episode and I really want to know more about the history of MLP. Are there any good books or other resources out there that I can research?
Guest, The MLPTP's Fundraiser and Prize Giveaway will be returning on June 1st! Check out this thread for all the latest news!
Oh brilliant! Thank youThis video goes in depth on how MLPs were produced in Argentina by Top Toys (under license from Hasbro)!
Of course it's specific to Argentina, but the basic process, like the rotomolding, would be the same as for the US pony line.
If you search on Youtube for "Bonnie Zacherle pony fair" you'll also find interviews by Bonnie that go more in depth than she did in The Toys That Made Us.
MustBeJewel made a really incredible documentary film about ponies and the collecting community. Unfortunately it looks like the DVDs are out of stock. I'm not sure if/when they will be available again. Another good resource to have when collecting are the Collector's Inventory books available on Amazon.
