Hello all! I have something exciting to share today!
Yesterday, my sister sent me a picture of this display at a Target I don't normally frequent asking me if I wanted any of the toys. I did! I missed out on this entire line except for alicorn Sunny, somehow. But I also really, really wanted the shipper they were in.. I've seen many some fans of doll lines like Rainbow High and Monster High that have store displays in their collection. Ever since, it has been a goal of mine to get one!! But I thought it would be very challenging. I've never seen one of these displays in my area, and I didn't know if G5 would ever make a cardboard shipper display like this, since MLP's section in the toy aisle is constantly dwindling and e-commerce seems to be where most G5 toys reside now. So when I saw this, I knew I had to make a move!!
I called this Target location asking if they ever let customers take these kinds of cardboard displays. The kind customer service representative said sure if there is no product. As you can see, there are some Hitch and Izzy toys still in the display. Still, I made my way over to Target with my sister. She suggested I bring the display up to the service desk, and I did. The kind employee immediately realized I was the individual who previously called on the phone. I showed her that there were still some toys, but I was going to buy a couple. She said that since I was buying some, she would take the rest of the product, and I could take the display home!!! I was so excited!!! My sister still had to grab some things, so I carried the shipper through the store. A couple of people gave me a bewildered look, lol! But I didn't mind
Here is another quick picture I took in the store. It currently sits in my room. I need to find the right spot for it, and then put some ponies on it of course! When I do, I will share some more pictures. It is perfect because its narrow. It has the Mane 5 on the side, with the G4 logo in some spots as well. The copyright says 2022, which makes sense. I wonder if they had this display sitting in the back or something? I don't go there often, but I've never seen it before, and I thought the Crystal Adventures line was long gone! Overall, I am so, so happy! I got some more toys from this line (Izzy's gradient hair is amazing!!!) and this fantastic display!!! I'm also proud of myself because I can be really very shy, so I'm glad I was able to muster some courage to ask and take this home!!
Thanks for sticking through my whole story with this long post. If you see a cardboard display in the wild, don't be afraid to politely ask! If the answer is no, that's okay, but since these just get chucked in the baler, you might be able to snag one! If you have a shipper yourself, I'd love to see it also, especially if it is MLP!! Lastly, thank you to that kind Target employee. Her kindness will not be forgotten anytime soon!!!
