Hellooo,
I just returned today from a local multi-genre convention called ConnectiCon and took some shots of some of the MLP cosplay that I thought people would enjoy. ConnectiCon is near and dear to me since I used to volunteer at it, my sis used to be one of the co-chairs, and my hubby Tim (from Cad-comic.com) is often a guest of honor at it. It's already in it's 10th year and today it's drawing crowds of 10,000 people. I've been every year and remember when it was a tiny convention at a local college. Anywho, the last couple of years I've taken into enjoying the con and cosplaying instead of laboring over it and volunteering. Last year I went as Skyflier on Sunday since it was the same weekend at the MLP Fair in Rhode Island and only saw a couple of G4 cosplayers but this year there a ton of G4 cosplayers! The number of cosplayers is certainly in proportion with the growing fandom of MLP out there which is neat.
This year I dressed as Sweet Pea from the movie Sucker Punch and sat in on a Brony vs. Brony panel which was a gameshow of who is the biggest knowing Brony or Pegasister (bleh I don't like that name). There were a lot of cosplayers and took a couple shots that I thought people might enjoy.
This gal said she made the G2 Ivy plush and is taking commissions on her Deviant Art. Her plush is nicely done but wants $200. :x
Shining Armor
A very stylish "Guy"light Sparkle
Very cute Crackle
Hard to see but it was Derpy with paper bags on his hands/feet and a muffin in his hands.
Pic of me as Sweet Pea. Kind of cheated and didn't craft a thing for my cosplay but it was fun wearing it and even had fake eyelashes. Didn't dress like a pony this year but I did wear my Fluttershy "Yay" shirt later in the day.
T'was a fun day and it was neat also walking around Artist Alley and seeing all the mlp inspired art.

Also, this was a recent news video about the con and there was a gal dressed as Fluttershy at the end of it being interviewed.
Enjoy!
