so, this is my sad, sad attempt at drawing and coloring - i drew the line art on paper, then scanned it as a black & white .bmp and did all the coloring and the symbol in MSPaint (

i also collaborated with skeen on an entry, where i came up with the design and she did all the artwork. her name is rhythm & blues and skeen made her SO cute. X3

OMG, Diet, I loved your drawing! That is such a cute pony!
That is a REALLY good pony head- I mean the eyes, nose, horn, ears are all perfect together. I did the same thing you did- drew the line art on paper then scanned it into my computer to color, etc. It was really hard, and mine doesn't look half as cute as yours! Plus, my horn looks really ugly!

You should totally keep up the drawing.
 
By the way... MSPaint- Daaaaarn that's impressive, I mean it looks like it has been through photoshop. You even did shadows. Must have taken you for-ev-er!

OMGYES. i actually tried to do the shadowing in photoshop but i couldn't figure out how... so i used the straight line and curved line tools to section off the parts that needed shading, and then just filled it in. the hardest part was the left hind leg... awkward! but i hope this will encourage the folks out there who don't have photoshop to try anyway. ^__^

I really like that second one. Love the pose and her colors. I can't get over how adorable that second one is though. Excellent job. I wish hasbro would make a pony that looked just like her.
 
Ahhh! She's beautiful!! My fave is the first one, her pose is so cute, as she kicks up her heels! I also love her color school, blue and purple Ponies get to me. ;) Wonderful job!! I'll vote for you, hands down!

yay! <3 i really like the pose too... last year's mascot was so lively, i thought this year's should have the same spirit. ^__^

i think the one skeen drew will appeal to the people who like G1s more... she reminds me a lot of those first unicorns, like glory and buttons. :3
 
really??? wow, i will just be thrilled if she actually wins... heck, i'll be thrilled just to see her get votes! i should do this more often. XP
 
She's really cute Diet! I love the pose as well, and can appreciate how difficult a pose it is to draw!! I tried one once but, yeah, let up never speak of it again! hehe. The colors are great as well. Nice job!
 
They are both great. I love the pose of the first one. The second ones symbol is very neat.
 
I like yours, Diet! She's very lively and really picks up the spirit of a fair, doesn't she? :) Definitely keep drawing! (And draw me a Glory while you're at it!)

as pony drawings go, that's probably the best i've ever done. i wouldn't have bothered messing with it otherwise... but i still don't think i'm anywhere near being able to compete with the more well-known artists here. XP
 
I really like her design! The colours are great and I love that the symbol is clean, crisp, well defined. :)
 
Diet, you have some drawing talent! I think you have done a great job.

i rather like ponies with color schemes like that... red/pink, blue & purple, or blue, yellow and green... ^__^
