Hey, y'all! I was looking at old favorites and was wondering why we never see Magic Meadows Customs? It would seem theoretically possible imo. If you have knowledge or experience I'm very curious. Otherwise I might be doing another experiment. Thanks so much!:satisfied:

Oooooooh if that's all I'm gonna pop the head off one and try it! cue the maniacal laughter! I have a crimp n curl around in storage I wonder if I can find her. I wanna do it on a shimmer and shine though, but I imagine all the MM ponies are the basically the same ish, I'd be scared to try on a glitz and glam, they feel like they're a different material. Figures I have one of those sitting around. I would be totally scared to remove that one's head! Thank you for speculating with me @Twinkle-eye!
Results TBA!

Well. I am invested. :)

I just think Magic Meadows aren't as popular as MLP. I have a few Magic Meadows in my future custom box that I haven't touched yet

The Magic Meadow heads are about as easy to pop of as regular G1s. The shimmer and shine being the hardest. I assume it's because of the pearlized paint; which, fun fact, does come off with acetone. Guess who found out the hard way trying to remove a stubborn head without having to cut into it lol

Valuable info! Thanks so much @Cozytoyhoard ! Go figure I want to do the hardest one first!
I'm an acetone fan so I'm glad you told me before it arrived. Have you ever popped a head off a Glitz n Glam Magic Meadows? I'm worried to pour boiling water on them. I can't wait to give 'er a go! Thanks again.

Hmm, I thought I had but I guess not. I try to only behead if there's something wrong and I guess none of the Glitz ponies have looked bad enough to warrant it. All the ponies get a spa day with hot water when I get them and I didn't notice any damage other than the holo tinsel curling up.

The foil tinsel holds up fine to low heat and can be straightened (gently though or the foil will rub off). The holo tinsel straightens for like a minute and then curls up again.

She arrived! In unison with my Hollywood(which OMG I never thought I'd own.) In happy news, Star's head was already partially unsealed(The Magic Meadow in the pic) AND it popped right off!! Huzzah!

oh me oh my, you can see the rust butt on the tail! She was missing some hair plugs too. She has some minor scuffs but I dunno if I wanna touch her with acetone to remove them and chance removing her pearlization.

So when I took the head off, it was a horror show. I didn't snap a pic because tbh I was worried if it was rust, mold, or mildew inside her. Sooooo she's on her third or fourth oxy bath. I'd scrub her insides, soak, repeat, she's looking mighty fine this morning. I was relieved to find that it was most likely rust but wore gloves all the same.

I'm bringing her back! Her insides look less like a biohazard now.
What a fun project it's been so far.

It's funny you say that, @MLP_PreMed, because I just bought a pearlized Springsong (lavender scent/flowers with purple hair) I had in childhood :)

I've thought about customizing one of the CPK MM ponies I have--a green pegasus Crimp and Curl with an ink stain on its back--but idk what design I would go for!

I'm curious to follow this thread and see how your experiments go before I give this a try! :)
