It's more for little kids to have a part in making their own toy. You go to Build-a-Bear, you choose what kind of toy you want out of the bins (they have loads to choose from, like bears, rabbits, sheep, cats and dogs etc. and now also FiM ponies). You can also choose to give the toy a voicebox or fragrance. Then you take it to a machine filled with stuffing and the assistant stuffs the toy for you while you watch. After that, you're given a little red fabric heart, and the assistant plays Simon Says with you to "start the heart", and you make a wish before the heart is placed inside the toy and it's closed up. From there you can either check out immediately, or pick out clothing to dress the toy in (they have everything from underpants to shoes and accessories). Once you're done, you get to name the toy, and they give you a birth certificate with your and the toy's names on it and the toy's date of "birth", and you take it home in a house-shaped cardboard box.
