King Tut with headdress

King Tut started life as a Sparkleworks and all factory hair and paint was removed.

He was then given a gold gradient on his ears, muzzle and legs with artist acrylics. His eyes and symbols were also painted with artist acrylics and then sealed with modpodge shiny. The ankh symbol was made of Apoxie sculpt and affixed into place.

He was rehaired with Dollyhair black and his mane was cute short. His tail is wire wrapped so that it can counteract his headdress.

His headdress was sculpted out of sculpy and apoxie sculpt and then painted with artist acrylics and gold leaf. After being painted it was then sealed with sculpey shiny glaze. His headdress is fully removable and he looks good either way.

Would love to hear everyones comments. He is my first egyptian custom but already have 3 more started.

Enjoy

I love that the headdress is removable and I love the uber short hair on him
fantastic job painting too!

Great job. He looks great. The details are wonderful.

Lovin' this one! I think this is one of your best yet!! Love that removable headdress!!

he is such a stunning boy! sparkleworks was a good choice for a base; the orange is very golden here. the fact that the heaedress is removeable too is also awesome; it've seen some others similarly done but none had the headdress removeable. the bound tail is alsso a very nice piece of detail too. just an amazing job. i adore egyptian customs
