Hey all! After nearly four years of lurking about the forums I decided it might be time to come up with a persona. Truth be told, I made a custom first but haven't had a chance to photograph her yet...but I will!
Anyway, her name is Jewel Heart for reasons that should become obvious. The pony itself has a lot of glitter and rhinestones, plus some braided-in tinsel, so I tried to represent that here.
She came about via an interesting process. I bought a yellow DS Lite in Japan and decided to put some really bright deco jewels on it. This was all well and good until the adhesive started getting smudgy...and since people don't really bejewel their video game systems here I decided the jewels had to go. But, I'd really grown attached to the sight of the bright gemstones on yellow plastic...so, I transplanted them to a pony!
Jewel Heart loves bright colors and shiny things and often goes over the top. She's high-energy, fun-loving, and surprisingly low-maintenance considering her glamorous appearance.
Okay, enough blabber. Here's the small version of a wallpaper I made with her:

I tried to mimic glitter and rhinestones in the background
The entire picture was done in a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator CS3 with the aide of a Wacom tablet. Enjoy!
