Congratulations
@strawberrypony32 ! Yours was so cute! I was impressed by the seaming to make the suits fit those narrow G2 bodies! Also Scooby is a great Halloween choice. Back in 11th grade my friend wanted to do a Scooby group (lol I typed "groop") so I wound up making myself a paper mache Scooby head, and seeing your little diamond collar brought back memories.
I truly enjoyed all of the entries!
@DracoKat 's has a pretty balance of details and colors. The plume of straw in the hat is especially nice.
@MonsterIceCream The texture on the banana peel is very convincing! It's so funny to see a suspiciously wide banana in the bowl and I liked how the sticker moved when "peeled."
@stjarne worked to catch every element in that illustration! Right down to the stepstones and striped socks. It's so cute and I like the interior lighting. I snuck a string of fairy lights into my entry too!
@PonyMomma The tiny snakes are killin' me!
Their little tongues! And I didn't even know you could get googly eyes that small!
@ActionHank The tiny muzzle! The tiny whiskers! Cute cute cute and what a fun idea!
@dragonlady 's crochet skills are fabulous. The curly tentacles turned out perfect! Fairy Wavedancer makes me think of Neopets paintbrushes, and I always love to see a sea pony being extra fanciful!
@maycrestmom I'm not even familiar with Loot Llama but I can tell you did it justice. The layers of paper colors are just great and its expression is hilarious. It looks like it would wobble precariously as Summer Berry proudly parades it from door to door.
@Sassarazzmadazzles I'm so happy I was paying attention to the Mascot Pony thread so I could get the reference. Well done. Well. Done.
@MegaLeafeon came in swinging with this one! So many eyes must have taken ages! I can almost hear the sound effects.
@vampyrefay I wish this little pumpkin would visit my door on Halloween! I would blubber and give them too much candy. Such a cutie!
@AzaleaArt Three whole costumes with all the details! You even painted pinstripes on the suit! I love the shape of Zero's ears and hem. Awesome job!
As for mine, thanks so much to everyone who voted for Sarah! I honestly stopped minding about winning (and started pushing the deadline pretty close) when I was having soooo much fun making her and working on her details. I've sewn costumes for many years now, but I've never made pony wear before and certainly never made a pony wig!! But one of my last major passion projects was a cosplay of Sarah's ballroom look and I have been giggling so much trying to make it all again to pony proportions. I was so excited to share her I kind of forgot to show a closeup of all her details so I'm going to make a post soon about the Making Of just to show it off
Don't let your ponies wear their costumes too long or eat too much candy (we don't want vinyl stains!) but give them all pats and hugs for their hard work. Kudos to all the creative crafters and pranksters, this was amazing!! I'm so glad I came back to the Trading Post when I did. It's been a blast!
