I'm so happy to be back! Any OC ideas?

Hello!



I am so happy to be back after many years of being absent. I look forward to getting to know everyone!



I had joined a very long time ago when I was into collecting Gen 1 ponies (which I still have). I am still in love with my ponies and MLP and would love to get back into my pony inspired arts and crafts. I used to do clay and resin art but stopped after I went through a really hard time and got really depressed and then COVID happened which didn’t help. I have worked through things slowly and while doing that I had an unplanned pregnancy. I now have a daughter named Willow and really want to share my love of ponies with her. My daughter just turned one and has been my greatest gift! I love her so much!



I would really love to make an OC for her that has something to do with Willow trees and a lotus flower. Her middle name is Sen which means lotus flower in Vietnamese, she is half Vietnamese. I would love to hear any ideas you may have or if there are any artists out there that could help me create an OC?



So far colors I have used for her (birthday décor) has been pastel type colors of sage, light pink, peach, and white.

i would be happy to do a pony design commission! i have no idea where to offer that on the forums, but you can just PM me if you want my first thought for a willow tree pony would be one with long cascading green hair, like the branches hanging down from a weeping willow - maybe with pink or peach streaks to represent when they're in bloom?

Hello! As a new person I can't really say welcome back, but I can say: glad you (re)joined!

Well, hmm. I've never done an OC pony before, but I'll give it a shot, G1 baby pony style. If you like it, we can make some kind of deal.
And willows don't really bloom. They have non-descript catkins. But weeping willow branches stop just before the surface of lakes and rivers, and lotus flowers stand a good 5 feet above the surface of the water, but they are the softest hues of pink and gold and white.

While reading your intro I got very excited when you were discussing Willow’s middle name of Sen. it made me instantly think of Chihiro from Spirited Away, imagine my absolute delight as I see No-Face in her birthday photos. Beautiful touch for the nerdy people out there. *chef kiss*

A long haired pastel green haired pony sounds lovely! Maybe with a pastel peach colored body and a secondary pastel color highlighted in her hair?
