MLPMommy4Life deflocked some So Soft ponies for me (and did an AMAZING job!) and in return, asked me for a G3 custom of Lucille Ball as she appeared in I Love Lucy.

And here's what I came up with:

I'd say you also did a phenomenal job! She's awesome, great sculpt on the hair and dress. Pearl earrings are the perfect touch too.

:worthy: Wow, just wow. Perfect likeness of her in pony form. :first:

Awww! She is so gorgeous! Beauty divine! Babes..she looks great in her dress..rock-on!

Wow! She looks great. And super accurate (or as accurate as a pony can get) :D

I just love her! The animal rescuer who this is really the eventual end recipient of this beauty will love it, I'm sure. She's been going to all of her cancer treatments and things have been rough going for her, so this is sure to give her a little cheer.

I just love her and would LOVE to keep her for myself, but I made the promise to myself to give this very kind lady who is still making appearances as Lucy (as sick as she is) in order to help animals this very beautiful custom when it was completed. :)

Thank you so much, Jewel!!!

OMG - you need any more deflocks?? seriously though = W-O-W

how the hay did you get that dotted dress so perfectly...well dotted? And her hair is perfect! And I love how you did her eyes - and and and..

the best part is knowing how you all are doing this for a cancer survivor - this will surely be a pick me up and a great focus so that she does indeed have a remission

so cool all way round and so why I love the pony community :)

Gorgeously done, all of the detailing is very rich!

I'm so glad you're pleased with the result :) As you know, she gave me the most difficult time of any custom I've ever done...

When I was first sculpting her base, one of the big storms suddenly came up the coast and knocked out our electricity, so I had no choice but to let the apoxie cure as it was, chunky and uneven and unsmoothed. After that, I had to use my dremel and hand sand away ALL of the excess.. which took weeks.

This was after my first attempt with apoxie that didn't set properly and ended up in a crumbly consistency that I couldn't use.

Then, when I went to do her skin tone, two of my paints didn't mix properly (I think one was just old) and as she dried, she looked like she had some kind of disease. So, stripped all that away and started again......

All in all though it was a labor of love and I definitely learned a lot from it. :) I really hope your friend likes her! :D

LOL no more deflocks, but rehairs, yes! ;)

As far as the dots... I'm going to keep that a trade secret.

I hope that she does, too. :) When I do eventually catch up with her at a function (I'll let her know that the surprise has arrived and would love to know the next time she'll be doing an appearance), I hope to take a photo of her holding it so you can see them together.... and I hope she wears the dress that she has that is identical to the one the pony-Lucy is wearing! :)

She looks GREAT and is a spot on likeness of her human inspiration!

If Lucy was a pony, that is what she would look like! Fantastic job! You are a true artist Jewel!

omigosh omigosh that is SO Lucy!! she's perfect. The red, red lips.... :-D

Ahh! I'm so in love with this! I'm actually working on a Lucy pony for my sister's birthday as we speak but gosh, I'll never top this one!
