I am here :flutter2: My name is Malarkey, but my favorite pony is Sprout and the name wasn't taken so I was obliged to snatch it

I am around my mid-twenties and I mostly grew up with G3 while also watching My Little Pony Tales and the G1 movie... When G4 eventually came out I was bitter and thought it was ugly for some reason, then eventually I became a fan but lost interest again. Then when G5 came out recently, I formed a massive connection to it. I was probably the biggest MLPG5 fan and bought as much toys and merch as I could. But soon it disappointed me too much for certain reasons and I started disliking that too, stopped watching it and already got rid of the vast majority of all the G5 stuff I had collected lol. I am a very fickle creature! But Sprout is still my favorite pony of all and I love stuff of him.

So basically, aside from a few things from later generations, now I am back to only liking generations 1 - 3.5. Generation 3.5 is my favorite and I am always looking for merchandise of it, I have a few things like a mouse pad, lunch bag, jigsaw puzzle, and fridge magnets. G3.5 Scootaloo is my second favorite pony!
I like regular G3 a bunch too. It's like, I prefer G3.5 art style and stuff but when it comes to the brushable figures themselves, I like G3 most.

I don't have a very big collection of ponies--Probably under 30 G3, under 10 G1, only 1 G2, and then a few miscellaneous ponies from other generations. I am seeking to get Triple Treat and Round n Round soon, but sometimes I struggle to find ponies for good prices on eBay Australia. And besides MLP I love plush toys, drawing, animals, and I am learning to make plush ponies myself too!

Welcome pony friend! I hope you enjoy it here on the TP.

Welcome in! It's neat to hear your history! I grew up with Generation 1 and kept 16 of my childhood ponies. When I was 18 we got the internet for the first time and I rediscovered ponies! Back then the average price for a nice condition pony was probably about $3.50. I started customizing and re-rooting, and very few people were doing that at the time, so I was able to build a lot of my collection in trade for customs. Nowadays it's not nearly so niche, but at least my skills have improved! :lolpony:
There are a lot of different ages of collectors here but we keep it very friendly so I hope you love the forums!

Welcome In! I hope you enjoy your stay!

Welcome to the forum, its nice to meet you. :)

Welcome to the herd! I've found my collecting interests can shift some too over the years. I've always been a G1 collector but over the years some G3s have worked their way into my collection and *gasp* even a G2 LOL I think it's all part of the fun though :)
