I am so thrilled. My Vinny kitty is finally well. When I first brought him home, he had a bad respiratory virus. He was a stray. I adopted him and they did say he was a little sick. They did not tell me just how sick he was. Then he had a mess load of parasites. The medications ruined his colon so he was sick for over 3 months. He is still kind of nasally, but he is so much better. I had to change his diet and I took him off of a lot of the things the vet suggested I do. I guess he is just sensitive to things. Its strange that the food he was eating all of the sudden he couldn't eat anymore. This little kitty is totally my kitty. He follows me everywhere and he sleeps next to me. The sad thing is he is very scared of things. I think it was his rough start. He was found abandoned shortly after birth. He seems to have an intense fear of men. I am worried a man hurt him in some way. The only reason I brought him home was because when we went into the room with the cats, he ran up to me and sat on my foot. I knew he had to come live with me. He isn't the kind of kitty I would normally pick, but he sure is a sweetheart. I am so glad I got him. He is a great companion and he loves our other kitty. They will both be a year old by May. What would life be like without pets? Now all I need is my Gypsy horse and life will be grand for me pet wise. Vinny is in my siggy.

Thank goodness you adopted him and got him well! :)

He is adorable! He looks a lot like my cat Squeaky that I lost a couple weeks ago. :(

I am sorry Ms Twilight. I lost my white persian a year ago and I am still very upset about him. Its so hard to lose a pet. hugs

He's blessed to have found such a loving owner! Looks like he's in good hands, he has a nice healthy appearance in that picture. I don't own Gypsies myself, but a local ranch does and they're beautiful horses.
I'm sorry to hear about your loss, Ms. Twilight. *hugs*

He find the right owner! :) I'm glad he is doing fine now^^.
I'm sure he will come around with noises and stuff he just needs more time. And if you want him to get along with men you should try to make some good memories with men (after he is little bit more bolder). For example, men will leave some good snacks for him etc. I trained one dog to trust people again by dropping always treat to the floor and eventually the dog would follow everybody while hoping some treats. After that he didn't ba afraid of people anymore. Ofc cat is different to train than a dog :p

Yes my husband is going to be doing that. Right now he just runs from dh and hides under the bed until dh leaves. Bless his heart. Or vinny will jump up close to my head and crawl right next to my neck for protection. Poor dh, he thinks the Vinster will not ever like him. I think he will. Its going to take time.

He's lucky you saved him! So many pets just end up abandoned because they're sick or whatever. I just nursed a little kitten Clementine through a rough spot and was going to put him up for adoption (I shouldn't be keeping any, I'm supposed to find them good homes... lol) but I just fell in love so now he's mah buddy. Cats are great companions. And he'll be good for your other kitty. He knew you were a good person, that's why he went to you immediately!
