how to ship WW and SW ponies

Re:

I make sure I use a very sturdy box, then pack tissue round their wings so the wings can't move at all, wrap them in more tissue, then bubblewrap, and they seem to be ok. The wings aren't as fragile as flutter wings, and as long as the box isn't crushable and they can't rattle around in it, they tend to be ok.

I fold cardboard around them, personally, so their wings are secured and can't be folded. And ALWAYS boxed.

I know I've received several WW/SW ponies from auctions in horrible shape due to poor shipping. The cardboard adds a little weight (negliable IMO), but honestly, it saves a lot of damage.

I just sort of fold it around the pony itself, if that makes sense?

Thanks! I never know if I'm making sense - comes from having kids

I've shipped them that way many times and yet to have one squashed; my hubby works for Postal and I know the horrors that exist there

So I tend to over-do a bit w/ packaging sometimes  that's all

I usually put a bunch of bubble wrap between the wings, and then just wrap the entire pony so that the wings don't move. I also ship them in boxes. Basically, just wrap and pack it well.

When i got my Moon Jumper, there was cardboard around the wings, and she was bubble wrapped really well.

I do the same. Tins or pots or boxes that come with their own lids are often quite strong and sturdy for this, too. They are NOT as delicate as they look - I had one or two sent me in a padded mailer with no packing and no damage was done to them. But it's always best to be safe.

I agree with everyone that said bubblewrap. That is what I do and I've never had a problem.
