How to clean mould off a porcelain?

I recently bought what was supposed to be a new in box porcelain on ebay. Well, it was in box, but certainly not 'new'! It had been stored somewhere damp, so not only is the box water damaged, the porcelain has several spots on it that are mouldy. Mildew type mould.

Has anyone had luck cleaning this sort of stuff off a porcelain pony? I am loathe to get them wet, since they don't have the protective coating of a fine porcelain piece, and I don't want to damage the piece any further.

(And yes, I did file with paypal when the seller told me 'damage is normal, they are 20 years old afterall' and got a refund).

I've never had to deal with mold specifically, but I have cleaned several porcelain ponies with soap and water, and never had any problems. (I even went at an especially grungy one with a soft toothbrush.) I think they're a little tougher than they look.

Good Luck!!
