How on earth do you style your G4 pegasi?

My sister got me Diamond Rose for my birthday a few days ago and I have absolutely no idea how to work around the wings! I'm fine with g1-g3, but the small size combined with the huge wings is making it really hard for me to do anything with these big hands of mine! She's my first regular-sized G4--I've stuck with the Fashion Style line 'til now...
 
Yeah, it's really tricky. I tend to push the hair in front of the wings, often creating a look that resembles Fluttershy from the show. Brushing it backwards obviously doesn't work, so I have to push it either all to one side or some to either side. It is really, really awkward!
I wish they would have their wings down at their sides a bit. Maybe Hasbro will get wise about it eventually, because you're not the first person I've heard annoyed by it.
 
I usually split the hair into two pieces on each side and wrap it around their legs. In my RainbowDash's case, I braid her hair. I personally don't have any issues with their wings, but that may be because I have tiny hands :)
 
I don't style their hair. Makes it REAL easy. lol
