Hi,

While moving, I found my collection of ponies and now I want to sell most of it. I have no idea of the value however. I do not want to ask too much because then buyers might walk away. I do not want to ask too little because I'm saving for renovations and every euro is more than welcome :)

I was planning to sell everything but now I want to keep a few as a souvenir, I still have to decide which ones which is not easy because they all look cute :)

I live in Belgium and this is what I have:

How much should/could I ask?

Eeep! I'll give this a go. You have a lot of European exclusives, so if you are willing to sell outside of the EU, that'll increase your overall result. You also have some boys, and I spot Good Weather (a lovely EUR exclusive) with Paradise Estate, I would advise breaking up the lot (you'll get more money, most people won't want/be able to pay the full amount for the entire lot) so breaking it down would definitely increase turnover.

I'd say as a conservative lot, no less than $200 EUR. Broken down? As an average, you could achieve $5-15 EUR per pony respectively. :D

Hello Vicky, I have moved your thread to the discussion area, where you will get many more views and advice. :)

What a lovely collection!! I never had nearly so many as a child :)

You have some real gems in there that are worth quite a bit of money. Overall for the lot, I'd say you're well over the $400 USD range if not more. Like Icecrystalline said, if you break up the lot you may be able to get a good price on your rarer items.

These pets in particular I haven't seen for sale in a very long time, and they are very rare.

Best of luck with your sales, if you'd like help pricing things individually, just let us know and I'm sure we can help :)

Hi everybody,

Someone offers me 150 euros for the following:

Twinkle-Eye Pony Galaxy
4 Starlight baby ponies
Shady pink babypony
Sand Digger
Surprise pony with key
Baby Moondream - Bedtime Newborns
Minty made in Italy
Baby Billie & Bunny
Baby Susie & Puppy
Baby Katie & Kitty
Firefighter without his head
Flutterbye
Daffodil
Jazzie rollerskater pony
Sea shell pony with shell
Good weather
A little catalogue/flyer
Pink comb with fish shape
Little white drink beaker with a bear on it
Little yellow school bag
Blue baby bottle

Is this a reasonable price?
Thank you for your advice. It is difficult to price them when you're new at this...

Personally, I wouldn't take less than 250-280EUR for that lot, afterall, you have EUR exclusives in there including:
Good Weather
Daffodil
And all the Babies with pets (these alone in the UK achieve £40 or more in an eBay auction) Those three are VERY HTF with pets, so no, personally, that price is too low, and you could definitely achieve more. Without those three and pets, yes 150EUR is a good price, with? No way!

Good luck!

o_O I did not know these ponies and friends were so rare. They were on my shortlist of the ponies I wanted to keep because I find the pets so cute

But I'm only allowed to keep 5 ponies so... My boyfriend and I are collectors and rarely throw something away. We aggreed on selling most of our stuff to make some room and money for renovations...

Usually any kind of ponies that came with pets like those are pretty rare because the pets get lost half the time. It's similar on how flutter ponies from the US are worth a HECK of a lot more with their original wings because they had been known to break while kids played with them (Which is why I'm still kicking myself to this day on getting rid of my childhood ponies to a neighbor friend. Cause I had two Rosedusts, both with their original wings. I never broke the wings on them.)

The kitchen and schoolhouse, you have my attention!
I'm in the US so I don't know what the conversion rate is to offer :sadpony:

I'm also going on a trip in October, and need to save while also trying to raise $100+ to "donate" kittens!
Momma cat had 5 kittens in June.
..but they're 3 months old and outgrowing the "cute" stage soon...want them to finds homes.

One place CAPS will take them, just need $25 for the mom, and $15 per kitten, [5 kittens, that's $100].
I don't have funds right now....but that schoolhouse ...and the kitchen very much a wish-list item.

Used to work for a bakery a few years ago, I've always enjoyed baking, cake decorating, and invented 3 desserts for family & friends.
The schoolhouse means a lot to me as it's a UK/Euro seemingly impossible for US.
Loved "My Little Pony Tales" show growing up! :ponylove: The schoolhouse would be great to display them someday!

...sorry... just curiosity is getting the best of me, what's a reasonable offer/price for your playsets?

Hi Vicky, what a lovely list you have there, I shall work on pricing that for you tomorrow. :)
It is definately worth MUCH more than 150 Euros.

Good luck, it's unfortunate you only sell where you are.

The playsets were never released in the US, I'll just have to keep waiting or accept it and give up.

also trying to raise $100+ to "donate" kittens!

You're not "donating" kittens. You're asking a shelter to take on the medical, behavioral, financial, and other obligations of animals who are your responsibility. Asking a surrender fee is not unreasonable and those fees are low considering that they will probably put hundreds of dollars into each cat before it's adopted.

Sorry a little off topic though. Vicky, would you sell to buyers in the U.S.? There's a few items I might be able to convince the hubby to get me for Christmas. :)

I could drop them off at a shelter knowing if they don't find homes within a week get euthanized.
So, turned to CAPS and the prices have increased again.
Each one will be over $400 to be adopted, also covering those fees.

I found the mother, no one would take her in.
She got out while in heat [again, affordability and stuck with a stray cat no one wanted].
She had kittens I'm doing my best to tend to.
Don't call me out for responsibility until you have been in my shoes.

And based on messages with Vicky, she refuses to sell to the US.
Good luck to you though in pony hunting.

"Dear MissMissie,

I looked into some things and I do not feel comfortable sending it to the US. I'm sorry.
I do not have Paypal and as a seller there are some risks and costs using it.

Regards,
Vicky"

Hi,

Indeed, I do not feel comfortable sending items to the US and all the trouble that comes along with it. So sorry but no I am not looking for buyers in the US. I only posted here to get some idea of the prices. I did not post here to sell things and I do not use Ebay. I use local websites to sell my stuff.

A lot of the items are already sold. I only have a few ponies left: a few made in Italy and some other seemingly less popular ponies. I still have most of the sets though. Only the kitchen and the Crimp and Curl salon are sold.

Regards,
Vicky

Yup if I didn't go over my spending limit I'd give you 200 for the lot. I am not sure what that would be in your curremcy

Most of my collection is sold. I only kept a few 'souveniers'.
