How is your sense of direction?

Its about the destination, not the journey.

I'm pretty bad. I have been learning how to navigate, but do better with landmarks, then written directions. I still get turned around and confused though.

I’m pretty good.

I used to be a school bus driver and would spare (if someone is sick or a bus broke down I would cover). So I would have to read a map book and navigate my way around. So I’ve always been good with maps. It my memory that fails me more than anything. (Thank you MS for striking once again.)

But I panic in new places and I get lost or go off maps. So when I travel I relay 100% on GPS or my phone for maps. It’s terrible.

I could now find my way out of a wet paper bag or a room with sign pointing to the exit

@Leave a Whisper is Mapquest in human form. She managed to take us at least a mile away from the park that we have walked to many times before. (It's like a 15 minute walk too)

I can follow maps and directions decently, I just have trouble giving them. I, just like @Leave a Whisper , work better with landmarks than with simply being told "got left then right".

You've never had to navigate you little booger. So you have no room to talk.

From a young age, whenever we've gone on road trips/vacations, my mom has always given me the map to look at... so I just grew into being the navigator for all of our trips. :) I love looking at maps, and finding out which way to go, and see what other places are around. :3 The journey is definitely half the fun of the trip. ^__^

I can usually point out the four cardinal directions pretty accurately. It helps living just north of an enormous river.

If I don't have a clear map or my phone to help me, I'm awful. Even with a map I can still mess up easily, my phone has helped a ton. I have no sense of direction at all. I have to be very careful to remember the turnings in the doctor's office so I don't embarrass myself and get lost when I want to leave (in places that don't have signs to point out where the lobby is, that is). Not kidding, that's how horrible at navigating I am.

I just wander till I find a grown up who looks like they might be helpful. Most people's directions get you lost more than you were before they 'helped'.

Action Hank can go somewhere once and memorize it. He knows 99% where he's going just from apparent instinct.

I HATE HIM.
