Hello,
I am a new my little pony? I want to know what I can do to get my little ponies if I don't have any . I am trying to get into resell them off the auction and so forth at the flea market . I know there are resellers out there that resell could you give me tips on this and thank you also getting over seas ponies how do I do it I'd love to buy lots of my little ponies but I don't know were to go .

Listen, if youre getting into MLP just so you can resell them and make money i would go elsewhere. There arent that many that are actually that valuable and the ones that are you arent going to find for cheap. Most areas dont even have these toys on the second handmarket anymore, the ones most often discussed here were released 40 years ago! If youre looking to make a profit id pick a different toy.

MLPs don't really have enough valuable ponies to make it worth it, especially with G1 ponies being so rare "in the wild". You pretty much have to buy in big lots or get lucky at thrift stores.

I sell at toy shows a couple times a year--not as a business, more as a hobby--and I do like to have a couple G1 ponies, because they draw a lot of attention to my booth. I get them by very patiently checking Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace. (eBay is not useful at all for this because lots are rare on eBay. If you buy a single pony--even for a very cheap price--the shipping and sales tax drive up the price so much it's not actually "cheap".) And by getting lucky at thrift stores.

If you're trying to sell on a regular basis, I would recommend getting stock of modern, nerdy stuff. Like Hello Kitty blind boxes and stuff like that. You could probably find stuff on Aliexpress to resell. A lot of people are leery about using Aliexpress themselves, plus the shipping takes a long time. So they might be more willing to buy from you, for faster shipping and being from a domestic seller, even with marked up prices.

Seconding what LadyMoondancer said; you’d have MUCH better luck with Sanrio merch/funko/blind boxed stuff than with ponies, or even vintage toys in general, since these are growing to be hard to find in “cheap lots” or in the wild.

in addition, you mention getting "overseas" ponies– assuming you mean ponies exclusive to countries other than the US/produced outside of china/HK, you will not find these for cheap. most people know what they have nowadays. there will be very little value in buying and reselling international ponies.

Shipping prices also make it tougher to buy overseas ponies to resell. So expensive these days!
