:blushpony: So I've been a member for like four years and I could have sworn I've posted before, but I saw that my profile said my post count was zero, so I thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm Alicia, known all over as gothicsugar or gothicsugarart. I love drawing and actually have started to trade art for ponies.

My favorite ponies are Applejack and Fizzy from G1. For G4, I have a lot of favorites, but to keep it short and sweet, I like Applejack, Luna, Cadence and DJ Pon-3 and Bubbles/the one also called Derpy or Muffins. I also like G3, but don't really have any specific favorites.

As for collecting, I really like the fruit themes, sweets themes, rainbows, and drink themed ponies. Interestingly enough, my first pony was Scoops and the Satin Slipper Sweet Shop.

I find that food and drink are often the most abundant source of inspiration for custom ponies. It's so easy to make pony OCs with dessert themes, I've come up with quite a few myself. That's probably why there are so many G1s with candy names and/or markings, Hasbro found an easy idea that worked and stuck with it.

Thank you, Michelle and Night Fury. I actually came up with that username when I was trying to figure out something that went with my art style which was changing from what I used to do a few years ago. It was kind of cute, but a little dark at the time.

Lady of the Night, I agree. I've noticed it's been one of the common themes for all four generations. I'm glad they decided to stick with it.
