Happy Fall, Y'all! Glad to see that the site is looking healthy and everyone is just as lovely as I remember<3
My name Is quartz_/Kirstin. Gonna be 32 in March, gonna be hopefully moving to the PacNW for school next year. I stick to Gen 1 ponies/original and newer merch and have a small but cherished collection.

I've been wanting to come back on for a while but got really embarrassed/guilty about my sudden departure, especially since I used to be so active on here. I have a terrible habit of falling in really hard and fast with people and communities, then panicking when imposter syndrome strikes and vanishing overnight. I'm not saying this as an excuse for my behavior, but rather as an explanation.

I never forgot about the wonderful people I met on here. I still think about this wonderful community from time to time, and hope that you're all doing well.

I've been missing MLPTP a lot lately and am doing my best to combat the behavioral patterns mentioned above. MLP and its' amazing community are not a passing fad for me, and I don't want to treat it like one. I cherish and respect you all and, if you'll excuse the melodrama, I'd really like to be a part of this community again.

welcome back @quartz_ ! don't worry, we'll always welcome anyone back in no matter how long they've been gone. many people dive in and out so no shame in that :redheart: i totally understand impostor syndrome, i deal with it too.

as for impostor syndrome… I feel old… I would fall in that umbrella. I just always referred to it as paranoid delusions.[\spoiler]

I've already been enjoying your posts here but it's very nice to officially "meet" you! I think lots and lots of people fade in and out of online communities. It's so easy for life to hop in and change one's priorities. We just have to have fun and be good to each other while the opportunity is there!
I'm in the PacNW and I really like it here. I hope you can come! :)

Thank you! :Flutter4: I can't help but feel at least a little bad, even though it is reassuring to see many people saying the same thing basically. I keep thinking that other people are much better at staying dedicated to their hobbies than I am:tongue:I definitely appreciate the encouragement :twohearts:

Hmm yes, you and avene and a few others have pointed out that it's a fairly common occurrence. It's definitely true that life has a tendency to derail interests, commitments, etc. I'm very relived and greatful to find such a positive response to my own neurotic guilt over the whole silly situation :ponylove:
And you're definitely right about enjoying the moment while you're in it!

The PacNW is so utterly unique from other places that I've visited and lived in before. I'm anxious but really stoked at the thought of the opportunity to carve out a spot for myself there:winkpony:Thanks for the warm welcome!

I could be! I was last active in the community probably around 2007 or 08? My really active years were 1999-2003 or so. My account from back then has disappeared into the ether, so I had to make it again this fall when I got my collection back out. :)
