Help with pony wear ID

Hi

It has been a while but I am in the process of having a collection sort out and stumbled upon these two items of pony wear I have no idea about. They are both capes in style and I suspect they are UK (where I am and where they came from).



Any ideas on what they are would be awesome!

Just found another floral cape but this one comes with a hat a bit like the bedtime one - anyone have any ideas on this too?

I have a couple of capes that look similar, but they're a mystery to me as well. I collect vintage fakie ponywear and I have yet to find these types of bedtime capes on card. But it seems there are several variations. I'm pretty sure they're fakie though. The authentic UK ponywear line is pretty well-known by now.

I'll see if I can post mine later. If you're looking to sell them, please let me know. I'd love to add them to my wardrobe ;)

Switched the word "wear" in the search to "cape", and found a white UK cape with blue lace trim along the bottom:

says it's UK ponywear (probably sold individually like the others) the photo was from eBay, but the listing is expired so that's all the more info I have on that...

Now switching "cape" to "hat" in the search to see what I can find for that pale floral hat...

Hmm... nuff'n on the pale floral hat. But it looks like more ponywear.

Nope, that's the Sweet Dreams pajama outfit. It's got sleeves for the legs and is made of terry cloth. Totally different style:

Kitkatvintage is right about the white cape. It's definitely MLP UK, and comes with a white cap as shown in her link. I have at least 3 variations. I dug out this old photo. There's a white lace trim and a blue lace trim that have the same lace pattern. And then there's the pale blue lace trim that's a different pattern. Mine looks almost white in this pic, but it's actually pale blue like yours:

I have nothing important to contribute, but those are super cute. I want a whole rainbow assortment of them to dress my ponies in!

No problem. That's why these forums are nice. We all help out :)

I took some photos of my various ponywear and fakiewear capes. Starting with the authentic UK Bedtime Outfit. I have 5 lace variations!! You can click HERE for more close-up comparison pictures. Click on the pics below to see at a larger size. I just didn't want to flood the thread with too many huge pictures.


Now on to the fakie ponywear. I have one cape that matches the sewing pattern of the ones you have, SnowCastle.


It has a wide ribbon sewn almost all the way across the cape. Here's a comparison pic to another fakie cape:


I have other styles of mystery capes:


These two, I got from Sweden. They could possibly have been hand-made. They're made from a very soft satin material and are larger than the average pony cape.


These, I think, are all from a ponywear line called My Pony. I have the first one on card, and the others are so similar, I bet they're from the same manufacturer.



This fakie bedtime outfit is from a line called Pony Fashions and has lots of variations. It came with a cape, hat, and fuzzy slippers and at least the pink variation came with curlers and a sticker too. For more close-up pics, click HERE.
