Help! What was that pony hair site!

I have two questions.

1. What is the name of the website where you guys get your pony hair? The one I'm looking for in specific was called ... custom dolls maybe? If there are other sites out there, I'd love to hear about those too. (I'm giving up on human wigs, it just doesn't look right.)

2. On that custom dolls site, how many skeins do you have to buy per pony? Tail and mane combined?

Oh no, no, no, no!! One SKEIN is barely enough to do half the mane if you have decent-sized plugs that aren't thin.

An ORDER (which includes two skeins) is not able to do an entire pony for me. I made plugs of CM Midnight, and one skein made only 24 plugs of varying thicknesses, but they were NOT as thick as I've previously done, not by a long shot. I'd assume that you'd need two orders to make an entire mane/tail of one solid color, but then again, I've never had to do a tail, I've only rerooted merponies. ^^

I suppose this may vary from person to person, maybe another person can get an entire pony's-worth of hair out of one order of CM Midnight, I dunno. Hope that helps!!

((BTW, Restoredoll hair is awesome! I love it! But, be sure to get it wet before making plugs, it's much easier to handle when wet than when it's dry! :D))
 
I think it depend on how you customise... I'm making a custom with long hair and one skein of CM Midnight was enough to do both mane and tail and this without making super thin plugs... I will post pics later ;)

Oh, I just remembered something, when you said long hair. It depends on the length! I don't cut the hair on my ponies, so it's like, 3 feet long or something :)!:), but I suppose that if you DO cut it to a shorter length you could easily do an entire pony, if it was pony-length and not super-super-long-hair. o_O
