I traded for a sode sippin pony a while back a week ago really, I washed the soda sippin ice cream beacuse it needed it. well Its been drying out for a week now and the pony can't suck up the beads. but when I tip it over the beads com smoothly down the straw.
I washed it in white vinaguar to clear up the clear plastic, and it worked. I also tryed other cleaning products on it as well.
I am not shure that it still has moisture in it or if I just screwed it up. It has no suction..
what do I do?
Showld I buy another one? :'(
*tears* This was my grail pony, Ive wanted it so bad I almost cried when it was offered to me. And Now I am crying beacuse I mesed it up..
HELP! *tears* :cry2:

Not sure if it will make you feel any better but my soda sippin straws have never worked correctly. I can tip them and the beads fall down. One of them I can squeeze and the beads go up! Probably from a combination of moisture and age has made them that way.

If you have your pony just sitting out on display, it isn't such a big deal if she "works" or not, is it? It's still a pretty set! I would guess a lot of the straws don't work anymore so maybe you could save your money for the next grail! Don't get too down about it!

I remember getting one of those girls with her soda waaaay back in the late 90's from Ebay. By that time they weren't THAT old, and yet the beads didn't go up with any type of suction in my soda either. But I just figured they weren't actually supposed to. That the only way to get them to come up was by tipping the soda.
I honestly had no idea there were supposed to be some mechanism that made them go up by themselves. Or well... with the help of suction.

My soda is long lost by now, otherwise I would examine it.

But I do agree with Aadra, if you're just gonna have it on display anyway then don't get too upset about it :) It will look great anyway.

Thanks Girls! But i did manege to fix it! I took a hair pin and softly shoved it the ice cream in to the non exposed tube. and pushed the back of the beads. they all go up now. but they still get stuck but if I just tip the ice cream they get unstuck.

i got my youtube video up too:

thanks for posting the video! I've always wondered about them. :)

Do you think that they put real candy in there and that's why they stick and smear like that when they get wet? I remember I had the chocolate one when I was little and another girl ruined mine because she slobbered all over it while she was pretending to drink it. :( The little candy beads faded and didn't work right after that. :cry2:
