[Heat #21] - Royal Twist VS. Rarity

I like Rarity fine. But Royal Twist has the color scheme of a porcelean figure from a dark, dusty antique shop in the middle of a small town.
 
I realize Rarity is the epitome of pink/rainbow/glitter/heart cliches. But doggone it, she's prettier to the eye than that bland, boring pink and white thing over there.
 
I voted for Rarity, and I can't believe it's close - I thought it'd be a landslide.
 
Royal Twist= Ugly and Boring.

Rarity even w/o the horn= Lovely and Classic.

I bought 3 Rarities, and all 3 Mexican versions. I have her toothpaste, foam soap, chapstick set. I LOVE HER!
 
You know, I'm a unicorn nut. I love Rarity. I have four versions of her and I'm still looking for the UK short-hair.

But then there's Royal Twist. She was the only pony I got when I went on vacation last summer to the biggest mall in North America. So she's got some memories with me. Her design is beautiful.. so simple, yet it says so much. And she's a white pony. She also resembles Star Swirl (enough to see the resemblance, but not enough to be too similar), my first pony in official collecting.

So, although I'm pretty much 50/50 on this, I think I'm going to race the odds and vote..

Royal Twist. :D

It's going to be close - please let our little Unicorn friend win! It would be so unfair for her to lose just because everyone else thinks she'll win, if you know what I mean! :lol:

I know what you mean, and I agree!
Heck, just because she seems overrated doesn't mean she doesn't have a good reason to be rated so highly by so many! Am I wrong?

Go Rarity, come on!
 
Royal Twist! Those little spirals and the shading on her legs bring it all together. I like Rarity's acc. though.
 
good lord, this is like watching Sanjaya stay on American Idol while other people who can actually sing get voted off.

Wow, this is insanely close!

I love Royal Twist's colors and swirl pattern, but I don't like that big head pose. I love Rarity's pose, and the fact that she has rainbow hair, and of course has the honor of being the first G3 unicorn! So my vote goes to Rarity.
 
Rarity :) In the end it was her rainbow hair that swayed me, not the horn :)

Rarity! Rainbow colors win it for me, especially versus pink/purple.
