[Heat #16] - Garden Wishes VS. Toola Roola

Pretty Pop chewed her competition like gum and then spit it out.

Now, the final set of new competitors for Madness. After today, we'll be watching the winners of all of our previous heats try to survive yet another round of battle, bunnies, and brouhaha.

I had to go with Toola Roola. I hate they they re-used her name, but she's a cute pony and she's got a painting theme!
 
Toola-Roola-Redux is essentially a Frankenstein monster, harvesting other ponies' qualities. Toola Roola's name, Rarity's color scheme.. *quints*.. the basket from McDonald's Daisy Jo?

And yet she is a cool pony on her own. But I had to vote for Garden Wishes anyway. GW grabbed arbitrary crayons from the box to create his color scheme, and yet it works.

If GW wins, I will have a rough time choosing between him and Pretty Pop in Heat 24, though. They are my two favorites of recent memory. (Set aside the re-release of Tropical Surprise). Ramble.
 
I like Garden Wishes a little better, but that's not saying too much. I don't like Toola-Roola at all, and it feels so wrong when the reuse names like that. :(
 
Yep, it's the Core 7 "Oops, you have a recycled name" syndrome.


I love Garden Wishes, she's a gorgeous bold pink, has perfectly complimentary hair colors, and she is a unicorn! UNICORN!

I, too, had to go woth Garden Wishes. I agree with SoSoftClaire about her hair goingd well with her color scheme. Toola-Roola, while pretty, looked better the old way. My daughter has the old TR and I have the Easter one and I like the old one better.
 
Can someone please explain to me what this "Core 7" thing is too? It's bugging the crap out of me.

And wow, just for the recycled name I pick GW.
 
toola roola's tempting with her new rainbow colors and artsy symbol, but i can't fight a unicorn... especially one in my favorite uni pose. ^__^

I feel as though both have yoinked qualities from Rarity. Neither is particularly original. And if it weren't for the reused name, I think more people would like Toola Roola. I went with her.
 
I am an artist so I had to go with Toola Roola.
 
I voted for Toola-Roola. She's my favorite of the Core 7 ponies! I have three of her! I love her shade of light pink, with a slight hint of lavender. I also like her hair color, which I know is the same color as Rarity's, but I think her hair color pattern goes better with Toola-Roola's shade of light pink, rather than Rarity's bolder shade of pink.

I have always thought that Garden Wishes' color scheme looked weird, so I didn't vote for her. Her shade of bold pinkish/purple is just really strange, and her yellow stripe in her mane doesn't match her at all.

Go Toola-Roola!
 
I'll put my vote in a simple poem...

"Toola Roola has tinsel, which I hate in pony hair.

Garden Wishes is a uni, she has my vote, so there!":happe1:

There were barely enough ponies for THIS year, sadly. Time will tell, I guess. I've always dis-included re-issues for any year of Madness, so if there are only reissues to select from next year.. well, I think we may need to just enjoy this year's battle. :/

What if they're reissues of ponies not included in previous Madnesses (essesesses)? Hypothetical, but what if Hasbro reissued Kimono? You left her out of the first Madness, didn't you?
 
Oh this is a tough one..........

I'll go with Toola Roola because she is an artist.
